"We have an awesome Halloween display and that in itself brings together at least 300 kids. That is not including the adults. We love to bring happiness to the people in our community and that is the best way we do it and the neighborhood loves it. We even have people that have been told and come from out of town to check it out."
  • Jeffrey O.
"There are other families in this area and the beach is near and parks are everywhere for your children "
  • Lisa O.
"Do not live in this neighborhood. Neighbors are nice but there are lots of drug deals and bad influences."
  • Lisa J.
"Not a safe neighborhood. Lots of drug deals/use, crime, loud noises. People are rude. Kids are always running around. "
  • Stephane K.
"The quietness. The fenced in backyards and how much space there is. Friendly neighborhood but they mind they’re business"
  • Jerri M.
"No dog park need more open space don’t have any running areas for the pets to many streets and not enough land"

  • Villalba83
" Schools needs to be better also sidewalls in a lot of houses needs to be fixed up Other than that the city is not that bad to live"
  • Laurabodak
"The school system is terrible and there are shootings, gangs and drugs all throughout the city. There are hardly any good paying jobs in the city and they punish the people who do work with all their taxes!!!!"
  • Neraidariosfigueroa
"Lorain is a cheap place to live.. Lorain Constellation Elementary School is great as well as the middle school. "
  • N.Figueroa
"Lorain is a cheap place to live but not good if you have kids. We are leaving Lorain to get our kids in better schools. There is a lot of gang violence and young teens dying. Don’t want my kids to grow up around that. "
  • Rachel N.
"your own vehicle is required. there is a lot of things to do also within walking distance. if needed needed Lyft and Uber are a feasible option"
  • TR

"Lorain has absolutely no public transportation and traffic can be very heavy at times because people do not know how to drive here in this city. Most residents do not have a drivers license"
  • Jortizquiles35
"Always watch your children always know who their with and the public schools are horrible here carter schools I don’t know much about"
  • Latoya F.
"Some areas are nice and then there are other areas that aren’t. The school system is not the greatest either. "
  • Angie
"I grew up in Lorain and it is the same as anywhere else, If your looking for good you'll find good. If your looking for trouble or other you'll find those things also. This is a good town to live in though."
  • Kaorilovett
"the events at lccc are very nice. there are nice parks near by as well as fun activities for your kids."
  • Lee J.
"In the daytime I feel safe, but in the night time you usual here gun shots in the westside area. I would say the Southside is usually safer."
  • Wendy D
"I use to live her a while ago. And this area is still nice to have a family grow up in. The neighbors are nice and some of them are still there when i was growing up in that area."
  • Kaorilovett
"there are plenty of dog owners and people always walk their dogs around here and there are a few parks near by as well. "
  • Denise C.
"Quiet neighborhood No trouble Friendly neighbors Kids playing in the area and riding bikes Lake at the end of the road "
  • Philip And Amy Bobel
"If you want to live in a community where your neighbors are more like family, and your children will have an endless supply of friends to play with, then Deerfield is the place. We've lived here for 5 years and love it. Everyone is kind and inviting. The only downside is the gun range, which is not moving any time soon. But honestly, after 5 years, we hardly notice the noise. But the nature and people surrounding us make up for it."
  • Ariana
"Grew up on the West Side of Lorain, where most of my family still lives. Certain areas are better than others of course, but generally it is quiet and safe. Lorain has lots to offer like the boardwalk, the Palace theatre, and the International Fest in addition to being close to things like Cedar Point, Cleveland, and tons of shopping"
  • Rpoyle
"I c people walking there dogs all the time an have helped people caught there dogs when they get loose "
  • Kristine K. I.
"I live near downtown but no public transportation. no jobs in this town, so you have to drive to other locations. "
  • Sherrinine
"relatively close to highway, there are communities within easy driving distance, that include stores and restaurants. close to the lake and black river landing"
