7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is a gem. We moved from Texas to Pennsylvania this summer and my son had to start at a new school after living in the same place his entire life but it couldn't have gone better because of the faculty and staff at Earl Elementary. I sat in amazement at the first parent/teacher night while my sons teacher explained her credentials (which were impressive), gave us an in-depth look in to what our children would be learning during the school year, answered our questions in great detail. The registration process was incredibly easy because you can do all of it online and the forms ask questions that some people may consider tedious but I was really glad they wanted to know so much about my child and how he learns. The few communications I have had to have with the teacher so far have been answered immediately and adequately, from what I can tell the PTA is extremely active which allows the children to have really unique experiences and the place is just warm and welcoming. I LOVE this school. If I have one complaint it is the air conditioning...they don't have any other than some fans and the children have been released early two days due to a heat advisory...this is strange to me especially coming from Texas where we suffer through 5 months of 100 degree weather, but I don't know how common it is here. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a parent that has gone through this school system myself, not much has changed while having my own children enrolled in the district's public school system. Elementary school was a fantastic experience, with caring teachers, but in middle the emphasis is always on the gifted and sports related curriculums. All other students are just a face in the crowd, which is sad to say the least. There are too many fights in the middle school classrooms and teachers do not have the back-up or ability to handle classroom management anymore (for many reasons). The kids rule the classrooms.
