This is one of the worst high schools I’ve been to, I had a teacher I had to constantly ask to grade my other assignments I’ve done if I wouldn’t have came up to that teacher I would have had a D. The teachers are not on track with you’re assignments it’s ridiculous. I didn’t recommend coming to this high school.

awful school very bad lots of bullying , and pushing kids not been friendly principle don't do anything , he hides from parents terrible school , my daughter does not get any help, after speaking to the principle problems continued horrible school i don't recommend any parent to send ther kids here

As a first-time parent navigating the school system, I am deeply disappointed in the experience I’ve had with my son’s current school. What should have been a supportive and safe environment has instead been stressful and, at times, traumatic for our family.My son has struggled in the classroom, and instead of receiving consistent support, I have frequently been called to pick him up rather than being offered meaningful interventions. I have requested an IEP meeting and additional supports multiple times, yet little to nothing was implemented in a timely manner.I was also told my son did not qualify for a 504 plan due to not having a medical diagnosis, which is concerning, as support in schools should be based on a child’s needs—not just a diagnosis.Additionally, my child has had three different kindergarten teachers this year, creating a lack of stability. During this time, there was a serious incident involving one of his teachers that was significant enough to require a mandated report. I was not informed of this incident at the time. In fact, I only became aware of it about a month later when law enforcement came to my home for a follow-up.When I spoke with the principal, I was told that I had been informed by the vice principal. However, that is not accurate. I was only told my child was having a “bad day” and that he might need to be moved to a different teacher. I have documentation showing I was unaware of the incident at the time, including messages I sent to the teacher that same day asking how my child’s day had gone.The school offers counseling and TBS services, and my child was signed up for them, but these supports were never properly implemented. I strongly believe that if early interventions had been put in place at the beginning of the school year, my child’s experience could have been very different.Instead, I have had to go through the district and seek outside resources on my own, including behavioral therapy, just to get my child the help he needs. Now, as the school year is coming to an end, he is finally being evaluated for an IEP—far later than it should have happened.Overall, this experience has made me feel as though my child’s needs were not properly supported and that communication with our family was lacking in critical situations. For families with children who may need additional support, I would encourage careful consideration.

Overall this school is terrible, to put it simply. There is a lack of equity and access due to the "alpha scholars" program they're now implementing. If you're unaware of the program, essentially it's tracking. A group of students apply and if their test scores, grades, and personal statements meet expectation, they're put in an "elite" class of 36 which have most all of their classes together. To make the situation worse, they close off certain classes to this one class of students. For example, AP Human Geography, and AP European History are only available to these 36 students on a campus of 2000+. This is ridiculous considering that the school focuses their efforts on these students. They cannot honestly say that they are giving their other students an equal or adequate education. Their job is not cater to simply 36 students but the whole student population. This school needs to work on their ability to educate their whole student population rather than promoting a culture of busy work and "just-getting-by". Instead of teaching their students to fish, they give them a fish. Overall is incompetent in providing a college-ready education. (OH, by the way, there reason their honors/ap program is so big and so many students are enrolled, is because they encourage EVERYONE to take them, and then make the classes overly easy. It's no wonder so many people would take "honors" classes when they're not a challenge or rigorous in the least bit.) Do yourself a favor and don't send your kids here.
