Colonial Revival-style, 3 BR/2 bath, built in 1929. Main house is 2,147 sf, rear apartment is 517 sf. The original character features of home have been preserved. Spacious rooms, solid oak floors throughout, central A/H, fireplace, and separate laundry room. Washer/dryer and appliances convey. Exterior professionally painted in 2009.
This home was designated an historic property in May 2005. Built for George W. Dupree, who was a pioneer Lubbock attorney. He was active in establishing the Texas Tech Law School and developing the Southwest Collection.

Neighborhood Description

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, South Overton is the original Lubbock neighborhood that still has structures built in the late 1920's and early 1930's. Many of the homes were built for individuals who established early businesses and developed Lubbock and Texas Tech University. In recent years, as others have recognized an appreciation for saving older homes, the neighborhood has been in a transition of improvement. It is a quaint neighborhood, with neighbors who respect the old-fashioned values of looking after each other as a community.

My girls have been going to this school for years! I love the faculty and the way they make us feel so welcomed! The teachers are amazing and care deeply for all of the student's education and progress. I receive weekly and monthly notices when my girls have done something great or when they are struggling along with the teacher's plan on how they will help in this area where improvement is needed. I recommend this school to all parents!

"It’s close to work and I walk there everyday, it’s nice. I wish the neighbors would take better care of their yards but it’s mostly renters."
