  • Kamala G.
"I’ve visited this neighborhood on and off for four years. It had lovely historic areas as well as newer subdivisions. Some restaurants are world class. It’s a nice distance from New Orleans but just close enough to it for a fun night on the town. It has excellent public schools."
  • Sealsie S.
"I drive across the lake to get to work. There is very little traffic and the causeway is very well maintained. I receive text and email alerts about construction, accidents and other possible delays. "
  • Pamela R.
"Lots of beautiful spaces to hang out with family and have crawfish boils or other outdoor events. Great school system. "
  • Jlkirch
"There are a ton of dogs walked in the neighborhood. Manybpeoplengontonthe dog parks as well as walk on the lakefront"
  • Jenn S.
"People here in Mandeville WILL give anyone with a pit bull, pit bull mix and breeds like the American Bully, a nasty look and/or comment. Be prepared but other than that, it’s fine having dogs here. Great dog park here in Mandeville too!"
  • Janramsey
"Lots of friendly pets and Neighbors walking dogs. Help from neighbors if pets are lost. Lots f vets in the area"
  • Bing F.
"Pool party, Easter eggs hunting for kids. Swimming pool is good exercise place. Nice and quiet neighborhood."
  • Monique0129
"Mandeville is a family friendly community. There is plenty to see and do, whether you enjoy outdoor activities, sports or shopping. There’s something for everyone. "
  • Bing F.
"I have been lived here for 10 years. It is quite and friendly neighborhood . The nature park is not far from neighborhood. We walk in the wood , listen birds chipping , breath fresh air. "
  • Dbnavarro5
"we have great schools, locally owned shops and restaurants. great outdoor family events, weekly farmer's markets, and many parks and safe places for families. "
  • Curiousgeorge58
"There are many loose dogs that may excite your dog and cause them to run off into the wilderness. Other than that it is a safe neighborhood for a well behaved dog"
  • Andre L.
"Great Schools to attend. There is not necessarily a need to send our kids to private schools to receive a good education ."
  • Patrick C.
"My neighborhood is very close to the interstate so it is easy to hop on and go East or west. Less the 10 minutes from the causeway in order to go to New Orleans."
  • Curiousgeorge58
"Not ideal. Causeway bridge for commute gets old after 10+ years of doing it 5 days per week. If you’re and 8-5, traffic is slow towards Jefferson Hwy."
  • Chet M.
"friendly family neighborhood where children and dogs play in the street safely. no through traffic. "
  • Brandon
"Great for families if you don’t want to be anywhere near anything interesting or fun. My neighborhood is mostly retired people and families with small children."
  • Brandon
"The commute to New Orleans is long and tedious. Traffic, construction and drawbridge activity hinder flowing traffic. If commuting to the south shore I suggest moving to the south shore."
  • Lizsekelsky
"Like that most people have dogs and are dog lovers. Not like that people really do pay attention to whether you clean up after your pup. May also not like that pups are not welcome in the common areas."
  • Leigh A. L.
"i’ve lived here 30 years! i love our community and am now raising two sons here. i hope to have grandchildren here someday! "
  • Andre L.
" Mandeville has very good public schools as well as private schools. And also the parks and recreation infrastructure is sufficient and well maintained"
  • Erikalucasdavis
"My street in Mandeville is filled with AMAZING neighbors! It is safe for my family to walk and run in. "
  • Lisa T.
"People here always walk their dogs and they always are on a leash and are well controlled. For the most part owners pick up after the dogs and are quite friendly. "
  • Dee W
"I am a new home owner and I love the area. It is quite and I enjoy watching a little HS Baseball some evenings after work- from my front yard. I have o ly met one of my neighbors but she is amazingly sweet. I love it"
  • Jrescalante61
"Recently moved to the neighborhood, but have met & had conversations with residents in the area along with offers of help on multiple levels. Quiet. convenient & beautifully kept subdivision. "
  • Mimihandguidry
"Walking path, neighborhood crawfish boils, Halloween parties, Christmas Eve Luminaria display and so close to Whole Foods, Neighborhood Walmart, shopping and the Causeway. "
  • Matt M.
"there are good school, lots of shopping, but traffic can be horrendous at peak times. crime is pretty low and there are a few parks in the area "
  • Christopher M. B.
"Great community will a tight nit family atmosphere. People look after one another and you feel safe. "
  • Cdegolyer
"Crimes low, high taxes, lots of spots complexes. If you can’t find it here just drive 30min over the lake. "
  • Tessfly
"Family friendly neighborhood... There are plenty of kids & pets so every day there is somebody(s) & pets out & about. Plenty of Fireworks for the 4th Of July, new year’s and a football game or so. During the fall/ winter holidays, there are plenty of parties Halloween is very busy and almost every house is lit up for Christmas & New Year’s. Family Friendly!"
  • Mrsjovontaylor
"Great neighborhood, friendly neighbors, safe, and an awesome place to raise a family or empty nest. "
  • Mimihandguidry
"It’s a great neighborhood for dogs and their people - most people are super responsible about picking up waste. "
  • Tessfly
"Very dog friendly somebody is always walking their dogs or 2 and if one happens to get out the neighborhood knows where it lives. "
  • David B.
"Here for 30 years, Mandeville is quiet suburban life as it should be. Streets are fixed before they go bad, or a day later. Light goes out, call city hall, Mayor likely to answer, new light tomorrow. Bike robbery gets two detectives. Best schools, good neighbors, community activities. A great place to live."
