"There is not a lot of traffic running up and down the roads. There isn’t a lot of loose dogs running around either, most of the neighbors walk them on leases "
  • Trulia User
"people mind their business, and are very friendly. Very quiet and a good place to raise a family at."
  • Sherika Luke
"We might bbq and invite each other, we are just busy working in this climate of life. And we do look out for each other homes when out of town."
  • Jasmyn Blanchard
"I am a dog owner and love living here. My neighborhood is dog friendly but keep your dog on a leash "
  • Misstugucci
"Stay to yourself, you dont bother people and people wont bother you. Phenix city is a fairly quiet peacful town. Good ol southern hospitality for the most part."
  • Kelli Smith
"It evokes a sense of being part of a group and feeling connected to others. The only thing that I would encourage is that dog owner pick up behind their selves.. "
  • Jasmyn Blanchard
"The public transportation in Phenix city needs improvement. You must have a car or be willing to pay for Uber if you live in Phenix City. Traffic is not bad and it is quick to get around from place to place. "
  • NanaInDaStyx
"Safe neighborhood and decent neighbors! Great places to take children fishing! Good schools & convenient places to shop! Helpful people and great neighborhood watchers pages to coordinate safety issues and for travels!"
  • Tina F.
"No public transit. No Uber my Commute for work is to Columbus ga 30-45 mins. Don’t know what else to say! Lol"
  • Benita C.
"My job is currently allowing me to work from home but it normally take me 30 minutes to drive to my job in Columbus Ga. depending on where you like in PC you are 10 minutes away from everything "
  • Cthreadcraft.t
"Not good public transportation. Could use a large park in the south side. Needs more healthy grocery stores. "
  • Kellepropst1130
"It’s mostly elderly couples with a few small families. For the most part it’s a very quiet neighborhood. "
  • Nicole T.
"High school football games, local church events, community comes together in times of crisis to help each other"
  • Jdmboosted1
"It’s about average traffic most of the time. Mornings and evenings are a bit jammed due to school traffic and workers coming and going. It’s not terrible though. "
  • Michelle C.
"I have lived in smiths for 15 years I love the calmness of it and the quite peaceful place. And the trees are peaceful and so pretty. The schools are safe and take precautions with the students "
  • Josh
"Lots of dogs. And they bark constantly. And when I say lots of dogs, I mean it sounds like a dog pound outside. I’ve seen lots of kids around the neighborhood. Seems safe enough for them to be out and about playing in the streets. "
  • Kciepaul16
"Phenix city does not have covenants to protect you from seeing their junk everywhere! Also, around our home, most people do not have their dogs fenced in so you have to be careful while out walking or jogging. There isn’t a place to really take your pets either. Other than that, I have sweet neighbors close to our age who all have children at different ages and we feel safe in our home. "
  • Quayshonta S.
"Smiths is a great area to live in with a low crime rate. The school systems are great as well. I would recommend this instead of Phenix City and Columbus. "
  • Dennis R.
"A lot of stray dogs and cats in the area. Some people ties a dog in the back yard. Leash laws not well enforced. Animal control is 30 miles away in another town "
  • Katherine N. C.
"It is average you are in walking distance of grocery stores and outlets. Good parks and ok schools. "
  • Primo 6.
"No dog park in the area to socialize your puppy...also would like more sidewalks and events I can bring my dog as well"
  • Darren B.
"Dogs wander around lose off leash. Really annoying when you take your dogs out and have to deal with these dogs. "
  • Diane B.
"In these days and times it is a must that you keep an eye on your kids. Know the neighbor hood and your neighbors. Parks are scattered throughout the area."
  • Richards M. B.
"Traffic is routinely horrible congested and ill maintained. Merging is a thing of the past. And it's always rush hour. "
  • Diane B.
"No specific place for dogs, lots of kids running around. Definitely need a leash. No large dogs in apartment we are in."
  • Klindsey27
"There is a park near by. There are no sidewalks. Most people curb their pets. Everyone has their dog on a leash. "
  • Daniela M.
"This neighborhood is easily accessible from Columbus and Phenix City. Right off the highway. Great neighbors "
