About this House

Wonderfully Detailed Colonial The charming and historic Oldwick section of Tewksbury Township presents a serene location for this classic clapboard and brick-accented Colonial sited on 2.42 landscaped acres. Built in 1986, it has been extensively updated with substantial amenities in 1997, including a magnificent 1,500 square-foot addition, a custom-created chef's kitchen and new thermopane windows and doors. The detailed thirteen-room floor plan provides four bedrooms, three full baths and a powder room as well as an attached two-car garage. Park-like grounds surrounding the home embrace the resort-style gunite swimming pool which was resurfaced in 2017, a spacious rear bluestone patio, bluestone front walkways, stone retaining walls, mature trees, colorful perennials and open green lawns. Inside, superior design features include lustrous oak hardwood floors, four fireplaces, traditional moldings, high ceilings, oversized windows, French doors and neutral paint colors. Call the listing agent, Glory-Ann Drazinakis, via her cell 908-256-4304 for complete property details and brochure. A handsome front door opens to the entrance foyer fitted with wainscoting and providing a Colonial-style turned staircase with a railed overlook from the second story. Tucked behind a set of French doors the right of the foyer is a formal dining room designed with oak floors, crown and chair rail moldings and custom-painted walls. In the formal living room, a full wall brick fireplace with a raised hearth and gas logs, wainscoting, and a large custom window lend character to this spacious gathering area. The privately-situated den or library could alternately be used as a first floor bedroom. This room has a separate outside entrance, double pane French doors, plantation shutters, hardwood floors and access to a full bathroom in the hallway. Renovated in 1997, a host of upper-end features define the chef's kitchen and dining area. Arranged with a tiered granite-topped center island/breakfast bar with prep sink, leaded glass upper cabinet doors, a roomy farm sink, Corian countertops, Vermont slate flooring and tumbled marble backsplash, this kitchen is stylish and inviting. Chef level appliances include a stainless steel Viking four-burner gas stove with barbecue grill, griddle top, two ovens, a brand new Kitchen Aid refrigerator, newer Bosch dishwasher, microwave and U-Line wine cooler. The adjoining dining area is a sun-filled space featuring beamed cathedral ceilings, a hand-painted mural and two built-in corner cabinets. The entire space was designed and installed by Superior Custom Kitchens of Warren, New Jersey. Sightlines from the kitchen and dining area open directly to the huge great room. This dramatic space is anchored by a Rumford-type floor-to-ceiling stone and brick masonry fireplace flanked by two window walls fabricated entirely of glass. Vaulted ceilings, double French doors, wide plank red oak flooring, two ceiling fans, custom moldings, a built-in desk, and the barn beam ceiling which continues from the dining area are among the outstanding design elements in the spacious great room. Completing the first floor is a well-appointed laundry/mud room, a custom-painted powder room, and a full bath featuring a sink vanity, all fitted with Vermont slate floors. Accessed by French doors, a center gallery hallway is a wonderful place to display artwork. Upstairs, an exceptional master suite has a captivating bedroom appointed with wide plank red oak floors, a full wall brick masonry fireplace with gas insert, cathedral ceilings, recessed lighting and ample closet space, including a walk-in. An adjacent master sitting room is situated behind double doors and would also make a convenient home office. The luxurious master bath updated in 1999 provides a vintage-style claw foot soaking tub, an oversized glass door shower, custom wainscoting, double pedestal sinks, skylight, plantation shutters and a walk-in closet.
