"I use to live in Northfield. Always a great place to hike, see nature, explore. The parks are so beautiful. The schools are great. The best of the valley!"
  • isabellabasil
"This is a beautiful, historic town with friendly people, nearby small cities and all the charms of New England living. Northfield Mount Herman is an excellent school, and there are good public schools in the area as well. This is a safe, quiet area with places to walk, bike, horseback ride, etc. If you want good shopping and fine dining, you will need to drive 30-40 minutes. However, for reasonable dining and shopping there is Greenfield, MA and Brattleboro, VT which have plenty of restaurants, pubs and coffee shops. The visual arts are readily available, in the form of galleries and museums. "
  • Pamela V.
"This is a beautiful area of Northfield. Quiet country road that's now paved, comcast provides tv/internet service, the school bus is about the only public transportation going past the house. You can be as private or as social as you'd like. Plenty of room for domestic animals and the wildlife is limitless! Hiike some well known trails or just walk along the road. Enjoy the area for what it is: Simple and open to many activities, hobbies and lifestyles!"
