Built in 1979 this custom two story log cabin has both wood and gas stoves to keep you warm through our long MN winters. The deck and sunroom face SW to catch the afternoon sun. No neighbors can be seen thanks to the dense forest.

This cabin has no running water or septic. There is a 80 gallon cistern in the kitchen which is filled from the well. Well water is 11 out of 10 quality from the granite bedrock.

Electric composting toilet is in the restroom. There are multiple areas to place a septic system if you wish and the cabin could be easily plumbed from the well. There is an outbuilding with a water heater and shower.

The Guest Cabin: 416 Square Feet

Don't let the rustic exterior fool you. The interior of this 1973 cabin is absolutely immaculate and must be seen as the pics do not do it justice. The main area is 16x20 with an 8x8 loft. It feels larger inside due to the open design and eight large windows. Gas stove for heat plus a full sized gas range/oven and a full sized refrigerator.

Deeded access to Everett Lake. This property comes with access to Everett lake which connects to the enormous Burntside Lake by way of the Dead River. Lake access is 3/4 mile from the property.

    "Ely is located at the end of the road. No roads go to much further north due to the boundary waters canoe area which strictly prohibits dwellings or any man made structures. Ely can seem like a long way from anywhere at times and the community recognizes this and most willing are willing to help whoever and whenever the need may arise. We take care of our own and then some . "

    "as a new comer to ely try to get into activities around town, especially if you have younger children who are not school age. jobs are not always easy to find and though the cost of living is fairly low you do money can get tight quickly. ely is a nice town but it's hard on you too. more work for less. your kids are safe here but still know who you're talking to before hand."

    "There is no public transport in this neighborhood , but Arrowhead transport does run in town for a nominal fee and there are weekly trips to Virginia Mn."
