33% of the Abbotsford Elementary School students have "limited English proficiency." This is extremely important. Abbotsford Elementary is spending a great deal of resources teaching students to read and understand English and converting other documents to Spanish. Many of the top-tier students are left to their own devices. 370 students > 16 per classroom > 23 classrooms > 1 high performing student every other class > 11 high or minimally performing students total. Overall 11 of 370 students met or exceeded the Wisconsin Student Assessment System (WSAS). If it were not for those 11 students, Abbotsford Elementary s rating would be a 2 instead of a 3. Lastly Abbotsford Elementary has a huge issue with bullying; one of the teachers told me I have no idea what to do with the class anymore. I believe Colby Elementary is a far better choice.

"The Athens Fair is the best time! People come from all over to see the parade on Sunday. The schools are great too. "

"Berlin is about 12 miles NW of Wausau and 12 miles south of Merrill. The one-room red brick school house still sits on the corner of "Downtown Berlin". The former elementary school is across the street and is now the town hall. It has a beautiful forest with hiking path and bridge over the creek. There are a couple of historic Sears homes and many beautiful farms in Berlin. Great for walking, biking and roller blading. A community of German immigrants and many parties and festivals."

"I would love to live here. The school district is #1 in scholarships in the state. The area is very family oriented. Neighbors help out when you are in need. They share gifts at Christmas. It's close enough to 4 cities to work and far enough for peace and quiet. The Town keeps up the roads well and keeps them clear of snow."
