"I live in this part of San Pedro, west of Gaffey far up to Western is generally quiet but there are some petty crimes. Generally safe and most neighbors are friendly. There are some neighbors that’s been here from a long time and some of them feel they own the neighborhood. You can’t park in front of their house for a long time. They put a note on your car. "
  • Balaji.swami
"Many events, elks lodge, Halloween and other partners year around. Neighbors grow their own food and plant trees"
  • Spminion

  • Trulia User
"It’s a great walk on the path bu the sidewalks aren’t great and it’s dimly lit. Some people speed through the stop signs too"
  • Trulia User
"Pros: Beautiful views, housing prices You definitely have to be ok with noise living here. Noise such as year round, nightly fireworks, motorcycles + loud pipes from 7am-midnight, constant dog barking. Upside, housing is cheap… Probably due to the fact that anyone who has ever lived anywhere else isn’t go to stay and allow random explosions to be part of their daily life. The neighborhood is extremely dog friendly. If you don’t own a dog, you will once you move here. Only problem is, the number of dogs you end up owning is dependent on how many dogs your neighbors have. You end up disciplining and listening to your neighbors dogs around the clock and throughout your home here. Another upside is you don’t have to care about the comfort of others! You can be as disruptive and ignorant as you want and your neighbors won’t expect any better 👍 Cheers and happy home hunting! "
  • Trulia User
"The commute is easy to access freeways from multiple entrances within vicinity of downtown San Pedro."
  • Flint4076
" I drive everywhere but everything I need is in close proximity. Beaches are walking distance, but I drive. There are farmer's markets, golf course down the road, fish market being renovated."
  • Matteo V.

  • Jeromy R.
"Great community with a real sense of history and tradition. Many long time homeowners in the area. Everyone seems to know each other ."
  • Jeromy R.
"Easy access to Orange Co and downtown LA. Easy access to 110 fwy and 405, 91, and 105. Many options for downtown including driving , fastrak, commuter buses etc. "
  • Samantha N.
"Thousands of homeless people everywhere. The crime rate is very high including shootings, car theft and drug use."
  • Jordan H.

  • Lisa L.
"I live in the area. Too many bars which lead to bar fights and subsequent shootings. Google it! A lot of homeless ajustnd drug addicts, unfortunately. This neighborhood is not great, it’s okay. We call the police often. We are trying to help make the neighborhood better. And as sure as I am writing this, I hear, a homeless man outside yelling to himself, about 700 feet away. Go figure!"
  • Priscilla C.
"I've lived here for 32 years and nothing has changed for the better. its only gotten trasher and bad. a lot of places went out of business and rent had gone way to up. needs attention immediately. help our city. this is a beautiful little town. I would hate to move out of here. "
