I went to la Vergne high school for 4 years. They told me I won’t be able to walk the stage. They never gave me a heads up never pulled me out of class. Never reached out to me but reached out to every student. Now because of this issue they had. I won’t be able to walk the stage I’m a good student in la Vergne never took credit recovery. I take advanced honors as well. I had asked to talk to the principal the lady quoted “she Dosent want to talk to you she said it’s over you can graduate” all this was because of one absent over I never got a talk or they never emailed me. You have 8 parent notes that you could use I never used one. Now because they never informed me I won’t be walking the stage. Now I gotta live with the fact I won’t be able to walk the stage with everyone. I feel like I’m a good kid and should have gotten that opportunity.

This school has consistently failed its students when it comes to mental health, safety, and basic support. The counseling staff, in particular, are deeply ineffective and appear either unwilling or unable to do their jobs. Multiple times, students have gone to counselors for help with anxiety, bullying, and emotional distress, only to be dismissed, rushed out of the office, or told to “get over it” and return to class. That is not support; it’s neglect.Bullying is handled especially poorly. Rather than protecting vulnerable students, counselors often side with the instigators, leaving the victims feeling blamed and isolated. In some cases, students are removed from their social or emotional support groups under the belief that isolation somehow benefits development. For children with anxiety, this is not only misguided, but also harmful.The overall management of the school reflects the same pattern. The principal consistently backs the counselors and refuses to intervene meaningfully, even when students are clearly struggling. While the administration seems eager to punish students when rules are broken, they show little interest in helping when children are in genuine need. The imbalance is disturbing.Counselors who dismiss mental health concerns and administrators who refuse to act should not be working with children. Until this school takes student well-being seriously and holds its staff accountable, families should think very carefully before trusting them with their children’s emotional and psychological safety.

Great teachers, beautiful clean school and friendly administration. Teachers go above and beyond to ensure that their students are supported with consistent momentum and delivery of lessons. Their endless, selfless, thorough and compassionate consideration of each lesson is commended. This is a Title I school in Rutherford County. They set the foundation of learning and preparing for the children's future here.
