About this House

Enjoy sweeping sunset views nightly from this 2006 Cavco park model (#79) on the 1st green at Desert Trails RV & Golf Course in El Centro, California. Ideally situated on dead end road steps from the shared coin-op laundry and shower facility, this one bed-one bath tiny home has a bonus large screen porch for those warm desert evenings and parking for 2 cars. Comfort and practicality were considered when upgrading to a chair-height toilet (10/2024), new water heater (3/2023) “work station” deep stainless steel kitchen sink with drain rack, wood cutting board, strainer (new 2024) and an iSpring reverse-osmosis under-counter water purification system. Enjoy crisp clean drinking water right from your own kitchen and wait ‘til you see those crystal clear ice cubes! El Centro is the Imperial County seat, centrally located on Interstate 8 about 50 minutes from Yuma AZ, 1 ½ hour from San Diego and 2 hours from Palm Springs. Mexicali is 20 minutes away and Los Algodones 50 minutes away (both in Baja California Mexico). The World-famous dunes of Glamis (Imperial Sand Dunes) and Ocotillo Wells State Vehicular Recreation Area (SVRA) are each about a 45-minute drive if you enjoy off-road adventures. If Hiking is your passion, the Terminus of the Pacific Coast Trail is about an hour away and many hours of adventuring can be found in the country’s largest desert state park (Anza-Borrego State Park) about an hour away as well. Try to pay a visit during the spring bloom – it’s incredible!

  • Elrebeco1977
"This neighborhood is very quiet and calm everybody is friendly I have been living in this neighborhood for about 15 years and it is pretty much the same"
  • Alyssa M.
"It's a somewhat older area in terms of residents, but pretty safe nonetheless. A little dark at night because there aren't enough lamp posts, but it's still fine at night for a walk. "
  • Eduardo B.
"Every one is friendly, say hi and look out for one another. Police drive by often and makes you feel safe. Been here over 12 years no problems, great school area."
  • Jorge A.
"Smaller city typing of living. Nice place to have children growup in, compared to a big city. Driving distance to the river, 1 1/2 to the beach and close enough to drive big bear."
  • Abel G. O.
"Some traffic only a few main roads. Lots of transients and crime on some parts. Car got broken into i live NE El Centro "
  • Rene R.
"Nice place to live and raise a family. Need more full time jobs due to agricultural season is just half year"
  • Janyce B.
"This neighborhood is well known. Very friendly people and well maintained. Has stuff for kids to do.?"

  • Apvizcarram

  • Daniel C.
"nothing everything is the same basically nothing chages around safe comunity good place to live in "
  • Alyssa M.
"Regardless of how safe the neighborhood is generally, it is better to always keep doors locked, both house and car. People from outside the neighborhood like to come and walk around in the middle of the night in the hopes that car doors are unlocked and this is happened a number of times throughout the years. "
  • Aletze M.
"Its a small town next to the frontier in which many people talk both english and spanish. Everybody is very friendly and its easy to get around and not get lost. We embrace both our american and mexican roots."
  • Sandy214 s.
"I just moved here and like the community and privacy my job is near no traffic compare to LA it has that small town feel "
  • 30jdtyler
"No crime no gangs just cars speeding down a residences supposedly 25 mph but are doing 40+ mph and children and kids are or will get hit"
  • Nrnfarmca
"Quiet side of town. Not in City. County services only. "
