If you have a special needs child that will attend this school you're definitely in good hands, they teach their students at the school about inclusion and to accept others differences. Also the teacher in special needs classroom is compassionate, kind and will be your child's biggest cheerleader, pushes your child academically in the best way possible. Also the paras are great too.

Do you want your child to suffer from stress, depression, and the dread of going to school? Then this school is not the best for students. The lack of attention from staff members, but just teachers, BUT ALSO faculty, is REALLY concerning. They were implying, "hah! mental health? What's that? Who cares about that? I just want these kids to win. To bring home trophies. To represent our school and make us proud." Many alumni from this school felt like nobody cared about them and suffered a lot from stress and depression. Other schools told us they hated us because the students thought they were better than everyone else and acted cocky. I have experienced GROWN STAFF MEMBERS (multiple, by the way.) who acted immaturely just because they wanted us to win. So yes, even though it's known for its rigorous course, it's not worth a traumatised child.

Mr. Morgan(Principal) along with the teachers and staff make Carlson Elementary an incredible school! Not only has my child succeeded in the CTA program, he has learned more than I could have ever imagined. The school focuses on creating both educated and kind students. The parental involvement is high which makes a lot of events really awesome. I love how close knit this school is and the fact the teachers and staff from different grade levels know the kids names from other classrooms. It really is like a big family! I am so happy we found Carlson Elementary and would be hard pressed to go anywhere else!
