Assigned Schools

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is a typical inner city middle school. The children are bused from all over the city to this one school. It has the largest student population for a local middle school. The Special needs students also have the largest population of all schools locally. With that said, the school is faced with juggling many different behaviors and academic struggles; however, many of the students are doing well. This school scores just as high as all of the other local middle schools except the gifted school. A few people's experience is not the majority. Keep in mind that most people don't leave reviews unless they have a gripe or complaint. The students at Syms are soaring! The teachers and staff care about the students and their jobs.Parent Review2y ago - Kecoughtan High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere are flaws but that's just how it is for every school. It is clear that all of the students and teachers try in their own fields. However, I feel that the safety needs to be taken more seriously in the perspective of students toward other students. On the other hand there is not a lot more to say and it is most likely the best school to go to in Hampton, Virginia.Student Review11mo ago - Samuel P. Langley Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNot the school it once was..The principal is not up to management of teachers. Some teachers can be heard screaming through the walls, running into another room while teachers are in middle of lesson. Also, the library is very loud a teacher told me( anonymous). That's unacceptable as well as SOL scores falling. I noticed while there as an aide, before becoming a teacher, there would be "busy body " teachers, walking around with the principal and looking for petty things. I could not really understand what they were up to..It was strangeOther Review4mo ago - Check out schools near 224 Commodore Dr.

"We love to take walks through the peaceful neighborhood to enjoy the many trees and the beautiful landscaping throughout, which provides good shade in summer. The Howe Farms neighborhood also has its own private park with tennis courts, picnic area and children's play area. This is a wonderful place to raise a family. Howe Farms is only ten minutes from Langley AFB, downtown Hampton and the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel on Interstate 64 leading to Norfolk and Virginia Beach. Howe Farms is governed by the Howe Farms Home Owners Association (HOA) and ensures the neighborhood homes are well maintained, keep home values up and make this neighborhood a better place to live."
