Teachers do not accommodate for students with any kind of IEP's. They do very little to help students who are not average or above or an athlete! Very sad, this school has gone downhill from 10-20 years ago!!!

It is a shame there is not a choice for zero stars. I am quite unhappy with the way things are being mishandled with my special needs child. I am quite unhappy with the lack of integrity from his Teachers and Staff. As an Autism Mom who has advocated for my child non stop for almost 8 years; I am beyond disgusted that this school is even in a bracket as a school that paves the way. Treating a child, the parents and his outside behavioral staff as they do is abhorrent and uncalled for. After this year; my child has one more year. He has been there his whole educational life thus far starting with an IEP and then thrusted without any standing in to a 504 which led him to almost fail and face expulsion in 3rd grade. In 4th grade he is still being punished, but even more harsh than last year, for what happened last year. And his punishment is being extended based on a lie that his Teacher stated he was talking about ‘guns’ while she is reading a book using the word ‘shotgun’ in it. So, when do we not use the word ‘gun’? Never! That’s the answer! This is a special needs student who should have never been thrusted in to 504. Myself, as a Parent could have had much more in place and much faster, if not for this. No matter how many times I try to help my son, by trying to do my best by cooperating with this school; I only get appeased temporarily just to be quieted. My son’s outside sources watched me get antagonized and instigated by the Principal, as it has always been for the last two years of her tenure at this school. If your child or children are special needs; do not under any circumstances set them up for failure and send them here. I have apologized to the Principal and took accountability for my part of any undue hardship. No one has apologized to my Child or Myself or Dad from that school. We just get smoke screened, lied to and toyed with. Once again; Leader in Me: Start asking who that Leader is and what they are really doing for your child other than free backpacks, food drives, free books and free school meals. Free comes with a price. Right now ‘free’ is wreaking havoc within my home trying to get my son to understand that some people are not honest, but to respect them anyway. I do not lie to my Child and I won’t start today!

Well your principal singling out a special needs child and not letting have the same experience as other kids yall should be ashamed and so should the principal! If you don’t wanna help all kids then stop being a teacher! She needs to be reprimanded and this needs to be addressed! Absolutely disgusting to see a grown adult treat someone that way!
