"Clark Park Saturday farmers market where fresh fruits, pastries, and veggies can be purchased. Also dog walking is a common hobby among residents. Local cafes and restaurants are a place to gather "
  • Trulia User
"The actual campus area is what it is, but the more residential and community feel starting around Clark Park and heading west until 52nd Street is truly wonderful. Strong community vibes, very safe, robust public transit, lots of diversity, and excellent for bike riders. "
  • Trulia User
"There are a lot of small businesses and community events to support them. There is a neighborhood council as well thats very active"
  • Trulia User
"make sure you don't have a bad dog and make sure you pick up after your dog all the time keep it clean and safe"
  • Trulia User
"I have enjoyed living and working here. However, the recent new development projects are a cause for concern and are changing the dynamics and aesthetic of the neighborhood."
  • Trulia User
"I’ve lived here for a while. It’s university city so lots of students but great places to eat, drink and lots of independent and interesting stores."
  • Trulia User
"My neighborhood has great access to public transportation, with buses, the MFL, and the trolley all making their way through the area."
  • Jeremy L.
"One of the best neighborhoods for families in Philadelphia. Great houses. Some good restaurants. Not great grocery store options."
  • R. P.
"Shakespeare In the Park at Clark Park Baltimore Ave $1 Stroll Clark Park Farmer's Market Summer family film series in the park"
  • Vianney M.
"You will pass by someone walking their dog at any hour of the day. Everyone seems to be carrying poo bags and have their dogs leashed. "
  • Kelley V.
"Almost suburb feel just outside the heart of center city. All the perks of Philly with trees and families."
  • student
"I live in this neighborhood and sometimes it's very noisy - people talking and laughing loudly in the middle of the night. Sometimes groups of students are screaming and yelling on the streets. And it can happen that even in the middle of the day some Afro-Americans to scream uncensored words behind you. When you walk on the street people run purposely into you, they don't know to walk in their 'lane'. And on top of that there is so much trash on the streets. It's no fun to live in this neighborhood. Only if you have a job at UPenn or near you can still consider living in West Philly, other than that stay away from this neighborhood. Houses are overpriced and rarely are worth the money. The market is slowing down because the offer is so poor."
  • Ryan P.
"We have lots of fun activities especially in the summer. One of my favorites is Movies in Clark park, where families can gather to watch a new movie outside. We also have porchfest, an annual local music showcase on people’s front porches. "
  • Cakegodfranco
"The food options are insane and its really quiet. School security patrols also all night so you feel safe."
  • Weijieliu08
"My daughter loves dog and i see people walking dogs and that is part of life i liked. Dogs are welcomed."
  • Kristy A.
"It’s a dog friendly neighborhood. People pick up after their dogs, and their are adequate space for dog walking."
  • Ru
"It’s a great mix of people from different backgrounds. It’s fairly affordable and safe. It feels calm compare to center city "
  • Subtlepasta
"We have movie nights in the park during the Summer. Lots of fun and it brings the community together. "
  • Tiffany C.
"Wonderful area, close by to every life necessity. No need to have a vehicle if you love the outdoors and don’t have the desire to travel. Neighborhood has plenty to entertain at all ages! "
