"I like it because fishing is only 2 minutes away I like it because it is out in the country and life is just at the pace for my life . It’s just close enough to the city to commute for work and family outings but far enough away to keep most of the crime down "
  • Rachel Frank

"It’s okay to live here I guess. Only place buy food is the Dollar General... got to find the right neighborhood because some people are known to do drugs. My neighborhood is great with good people. You just gotta look for the right place for you."
  • Trulia User
"I lived in the area from 1998-2016 and still visit frequently to spend time with family. It’s a nice rural/coastal community where folks are quick to smile, and happy to help ! The schools are good, and I didn’t experience any crime while living there."
  • tidesoutfarm
"I own a small second home in the area. If you are a person interested in quiet, nature, outdoor activities, etc. Then this is the place for you. If you are interested in nightlife, fine dining, and city living, don't bother. There are restaurants in the area that have good seafood but some are overpriced and others are just filling. Be prepared to cook for yourself. The fast food franchises are a good 15-20 miles away. There are farmers markets, lots of diverse entertainment and festivals going on almost every weekend. Something for almost everyone who can think outside the box. "
