"Great school district, great community, and overall fantastic place to live. It’s growing really fast and not the small town it used to be which has its pros and cons"
  • Presson4him
"Easy access to multiple highways and easy to navigate around town. My commute is long, 38 miles, but midlothian is great to live in. "
  • Trulia User
"commute is convenient to Fort Worth or Dallas since major highways connect around but traffic is horrible during rush hours or if there is an accident. Plans are made to widen and provide more access points but until then it will be a mess."
  • Carolyn Santiago
"People are always walking their dogs. But owners at local dog parks do not pay attention to their dogs at all. One dog ran down my 5 year old daughter and another dog attacked my puppy while the owner laughed."
  • Michael.w0212
"I live in area for three years. Nice neighborhood. Polite neighbors good schools, easy access to main highways."
  • Bs8ww8kpq9
"Not an HOA but well kept. It’s quiet and has good schools . Great for trick or treating. People are nice "
  • Trulia User
"the commute into major cities around is horrible. planning coordination did not extend to this southern DFW county for some reason. "
  • Marbear1916
"Watch your kids at all times just in case. I live in a very safe neighborhood but I still would keep an eye out. Speeding is common place but there are a ton of teenagers around here. My son is 3 and he’s very excited to see other people on our walk so that’s really great. But traffics on mockingbird and 1387 is difficult to getv around between 6-9am and 2-7pm everyday. "
  • Marie L.
"I have lived in Midlothian for almost 2 years now My little one loves it. Lots of local parks to choose from. "
  • Brian B.
"Midlothian is a wonderful city being a great place to raise your family. It’s not to large with to many people and it’s not to small that would not have needed or good amities."
  • Wells T.
"Midlothian is a great place to raise a family. For the most part, it is safe but we need more parks. "
  • Lauren K. K.
"I've lived in Midlothian for 22 years and though it has grown substantially since then, it has always maintained a small town feel. "
  • Sheila.hanna72
"We have very nice people. We have special events throughout the year in the community. Movie in the park, dance on the square etc "
  • Nada D. O.
"I work from home but easy commute to Dallas or Fort Worth . The local construction delays trips more than anything ."
  • Nissie
"Lived here for over 2 years. Very quiet and friendly neighbors. Everyone is super nice wherever you go."
  • Becky S.
"Community movie nights at one of the local parks in the summer; Wine, Scarecrow and other festivals throughout the year."
  • Brett P.
"Great neighborhood! Wish I would have moved here sooner, my kids love it and the ease of getting to surrounding cities makes it a great location for us. "
  • Scott A.
"Lots of people jogging with friendly dogs. And no lawn poop yet. And that’s all I got tah say bout that,.,"
  • Roscoe P.
"we have neighbors that are always ready to help us out when we need it! they've mowed for us when my dad couldn't."
  • Bmertz0904
"Midlothian isd is the worst!!!! They don’t care when kids get bullied! They don’t watch for signs of bullying "
  • Amyboldt01
"Friendly neighborhood but older houses and some that are not kept up well. Fairly safe but security is a concern "
  • Shellie
"cars is a must. there isn't any buses but now getting Uber, and Taxi from the next town over 8 miles away. you definitely need a vehicle if you want to go to the store and work."
  • Scott A.
"Long and arduous, but beautiful. The landscape and sunsets and sunrises make the drive a lot more pleasurable. "
  • Shellie
"Every one looks after each other, neighbors keep an eye out for each other. Stores are close by, people can walk their dogs, go jogging without fear. "
  • Amyboldt01
"Yearly Night out events. Block parties a few times a year. Neighbor watch. Friendly and caring neighborhood "
  • Kaylin J.
"There are people who will not leash their dogs when walking them. This isn’t the majority but there are enough that don’t "
  • Scott A.
"People watch out for other people in Midlo. It is really the best of both worlds with a little country, but where you also know your neighbors. "
  • Edwinnorwood
"Dog owners would love this area. There is lots of space & parks to let dogs run around & be dogs. I don’t think no one will dislike area."
  • Yagirl
"There are a lot of nice parks that aren’t over populated! There’s even a beautiful nature trail that both dogs and humans alike can enjoy."
  • Melinda08salas
"I’ve lived in Midlothian for a little over 14 years and I really like it here! It is growing and a lot more homes are going up but hopefully we don’t get to big.. I like the small town feeling. Hope to stay here for another 14 years "
  • Nada J. O.
"Midlothian is growing but still has a small town feel. Love the Schools ,which is why we moved here 8 years ago .Very happy to be apart of this town "
  • Gadavenport
"Many people in our neighborhood own dogs as we do, it is very pet friendly, easy to walk and the majority clean up after their dogs. Leashes are required and used as well."
  • Tamellen1
"The neighborhood is safe and quiet. People walk their dogs at all times of the day and night which is great. It’s a nice place to call home. I would recommend it to anyone looking to buy in this area. "
