The Mandarin Immersion Program at Broadway Elementary School is outstanding. We could not be more satisfied with our experience.Broadway Elementary truly deserves its place among the top schools within LAUSD. We initially chose the school because of its impressive ratings and where the third language was a bonus for us (we speak German at home). Now we truly understand what sets it apart: The Mandarin Immersion program is exceptional. The teachers are highly educated, deeply committed and bring both expertise and genuine dedication into the classroom every day.The parent community is equally impressive. Families are engaged, supportive and fully invested in their children's education which creates a strong, collaborative environment. Neither my husband nor I speak Mandarin, but thanks to the incredible efforts of his teachers, our son has developed great language skills after just 2 years in the program. This kind of progress speaks volumes about the quality of instruction.If you are looking for a public school that offers an experience comparable to a top private school, the Broadway Elementary Mandarin Immersion program is a fantastic choice.
