"There is a train station about 2 miles away. And public buses run on the Main Rd..We are retired, so we don’t commute anymore! "
  • Ktapfar
"Ok so far. Mix of agriculture and tourist industry. Many fine restaurants. Winery tasting rooms and more recently breweries and distilleries. Maritime environment surrounded by Long Island Sound to the north and 3 separate bays to the south. The Hamptons separate the bays from the Atlantic. Fishing and boating are especially popular in the area. "
  • Jerry C.
"Veterans beach is part of the Mattituck Park District. These beaches are for the use of the residents and guests of Laurel and Matituck. The parks are very clean and well maintained. The staff takes pride in each of the parks with Veterans Beach being the most popular. The Veterans beach offers picnic tables, playground overlooking the water, bocci ball courts and a nice wide sandy bay beach. "
