About this House

Paradise found and it's sitting on a gentle rise just 500 feet from the ocean. Offered by the original owners who built their beach-side sanctuary with an emphasis on maximum fun and minimal effort - it's your turn to embrace this laid back lifestyle and leave your worries behind. Living here is about sunshine, sea breeze and the sound of the surf to lull you to sleep when the day of adventuring is done. 14' x 31' heated pool offers instant gratification with an abundance of seating areas set in a tropically landscaped backyard. Let's start with the main floor where 3 bedrooms surround a family room. 1st bedroom is en-suite and enjoys a private covered porch with ocean views. The other 2 share hall bath and eastern bedroom opens to large wraparound porch with vista of the sea. Another covered porch off the gathering room looks over pool and patio below. Friends and family will line up to visit so considered yourself on notice! Head upstairs to be rewarded by sunlit great room, kitchen and dining alcove lined with windows and surrounded by open decks to the south, east and north all looking out to blue water. Tumbled stone fireplace will wait patiently for cool weather but it's beautiful all year long. Kitchen has an abundance of custom cabinetry and workspace so everyone can participate in making memorable meals. Parties will naturally spill outside and there's room for everyone. En-suite, owners' quarters are on the west side with a private covered porch. Soaking tub under a window offers view of treetops and blue sky and there's a separate shower if you're on the run. Laundry chute from this and 2nd floor en-suite is a welcome thing. Small office loft over the stairs keeps you organized and mostly out of sight. 1st floor is home to laundry room, pool bath with shower and an all-purpose tiled room leading out the pool. Owners planned for future elevator and shaft is now a closet on each floor. Life can be crazy but there is an antidote - welcome to North Beach.

  • Bryson H.
"Walk or ride you bike to the beach or shopping, great area with lots of new homes being built"
  • Maureen R.
"I live in St. Augustine. Vilano is waiting to happen and if the area could keep it's retro vibe and add a couple more nightlife venues it would attract people who really want that " Florida of days gone by" feeling. Great beaches and easy access to the historic city, this is what visitors are looking for. Anastasia Island makes it work because there's great places to dine and there's a pier, too, but it's lacking that character many people want to "discover" and it's waiting at Vilano. Promote the surfing, get a surf rental "shack" by the beach, do up the T shirts, vacationers eat them up! I don't recall seeing an "I love Vilano Beach" T shirt on anyone strolling along St. George St. There's new construction at the beach, and people with money will spend money on a good time, showing off to friends and family what a unique spot Vilano is. Get a pizza place like Mellow Mushroom going, locals take their people there. Why is it taking so long to get a waterfront restaurant established? A little motivation goes a long way and there's a whole lot of people missing Fiddler's Green. And Retro is the key. The Good Old Days. It's right there."
