Based on these untrue rankings, I moved my family to be in the school district. It has evolved into a really unpleasant scene. I cannot agree with the rankings that it receives. There are metal detectors, the campus is closed which means that any freshmen or software who leaves and comes back is subject full search This includes their clothes! Their backpack their lunches. Everything. Fully armed police walking the campus and pull kids out of class for random searches at the office causing the kids to miss class and live in fear. There is also paid security who lacks professionalism. Despite all of this there are many, many fights here. One Friday there were three fights in a day and the following Monday there were two more fights these were not minor skirmishes, these were huge brawls with multiple huge kids fighting that had teachers getting thrown off and security getting thrown off When they tried to break it up and all of this Right in the middle of the main common area. Drugs are rampant so your kid can't even even go to the bathroom because the stalls are full of kids doing drugs, with security and the police coming in and looking in the stalls when kids do try to go to the bathroom. I spoke with the principal and The superintendent of the district. The administration response is to just clamp down more. There are so many kids that have been tossed into juvenile court for offences, And the court is about 45 minutes away, so they just gave a juvenile officer a permanent office inside the school to meet with the kids who are on probation. Because there are so many. What can your child learn in this situation? Just think about it before you enroll here. Literally move somewhere else if you need to Find a better school.
