About this House
Completely remodeled, large beautiful home with all modern conveniences as well as preserved historic charm. (There's still active construction at the house, sorry for any clutter in the pictures, but all work will be complete soon.) I will pay a $1,500 commission to licensed buying real estate agents.
The floor plan is as follows:
The first floor has a completely new kitchen with gorgeous granite tops, that has a pass-through to the large dining room well light with a window bay. The living room has been rewired with recessed perimeter and central lighting. Extra attention was given to improving the lighting quality and fixture type throughout the house. The living room and kitchen both have amazing hardwood floors and original woodwork details throughout. There’s a charming fireplace nook off the living room with great wood wainscoting. There is also a completely remodeled bathroom with walk in custom-tiled shower and great lighting.
There are four bedrooms upstairs along with the completely new, remodeled-to-the-studs bathroom, with a custom tile backsplash that runs from the vanity top to the ceiling and wraps completely into the full tub. The bedrooms all have central and perimeter lighting and ceiling fans. The original pine wood flooring has been restored. It’s not as pretty as some of the oak flooring on the first floor, but I left the original pine in all but one bedroom (which is carpeted and has a huge custom built-in closet unit). If you prefer carpeted bedrooms, we can negotiate that.
There is a huge, inviting front porch on the front and large, temperate controlled sunroom on the back of the house. Great alternate social areas year-round.
Listing all the major and minor repairs would be excessive, but all the electrical, plumbing, and heating systems have been completely updated. There’s a brand new high efficiency 4 ton gas furnace and AC unit with humidifier and electrostatic filter. All plumbing upgraded to PEX. Updated 200 amp electric panel. All the windows were replaced with Pella windows including the attic and basement. Between the all new windows and high-efficiency heating and cooling systems, this will be a very energy-efficient home for its size. The main roof on the house looks very new but I don’t have a confirmed age.
The attic is full size and dry with easy access from a full size stair from the second floor. There’s a really interesting walk-in closet (think seasonal wardrobe) that is completely finished out with cedar, presumably for natural moisture and insect resistance. The attic does not have central heating. There is a full basement with laundry and utility rooms and tons of clean dry storage.
The oversized two-car detached garage is unique. It has a huge addition on it with lots of cabinetry and a full-length butcher-block countertop. The previous owner had a coffee roasting business and used this area to host events. There is an overabundance of electrical outlets, and the garage has it’s own 200 amp service. The garage has huge potential for a large workshop, hobby, or craft space. I put a brand new roof over the garage addition.
I still have to finish the tile work in the bathrooms and kitchen along with a handful of other minor things. Everything will be move in ready October 1st, but if someone wanted to weigh in on some of the remaining details or request any alterations or additions, I figured I’d list it now while there are still crews on site to work on things.
I am also willing to discuss lease option terms with qualified people.
Thanks for looking.
