This school decided my child was of no actual value. I homeschooled my child for almost 3 years and gave the my state testing scores from the test itself given to me and his curriculum scores I used from an accredited curriculum. They decided that he would need to repeat his grade. So I enrolled him into a public charter school and his testing scores since then say he’s not only proficient but slightly above for starting the year off. So they knew he was more than capable and test decided when they had the power to keep him as a student in his correct grade level that holding him back was the right call for them in case he didn’t pass their state testing at end of year how it would make them look. Well surprise! He’s thriving in his correct grade level in a public charter school who actually valued my child and the school he’s in now has high ratings and all their kids are successful and graduate for this state! If you can homeschool do so and don’t let any school discourage you from how you teach your children or discriminate against your child!
