7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDaughter is in 7th grade and has been here for 1.5 years now. Other than one teacher, all her teachers have been fantastic and engaging. She was in the elementary school and we had a very similar experience there as well, only one teacher we didn't like as much. Overall we are happy and she enjoys the school as much as any middle schooler likes to go.Parent Review2y ago7 Reviews - Jackson County High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter reported a sexual assault to the assistant principal which took four days to look into her report, only after I emailed them along with two people from the district office. She was made to remain in the classroom with the boy who sexually assaulted her for those four days and was only separated after I asked what the supportive measures were. The Title IX investigator was clearly biased regarding how this report was handled and also tried to deter me from requesting a formal investigation to be done. The principal, being a woman, did not address this in any way and was only apart of the meeting after I requested her to attend. After several panic attacks, we withdrew our daughter and are homeschooling her due to her telling the administrators and the Title IX investigator she did not feel safe with how her report was neglected along with her safety. I hope this helps parents see how this school and school system handles sexual assault reports before choosing to send their children there. No one should ever feel terrified to be in school with the fear that if they report something this serious, they will not be protected in any way and are spoken to in a way that makes them feel like they did something wrong by coming forward. Now the principal has been given the position of principal for the new high school and the assistant principal has been given the position of principal of this high school. All the while, my daughter further struggles with her mental health as a homeschooled student.Parent Review3mo ago7 Reviews - West Jackson Elementary School

"I only commute to my living room. It takes at least an hour to get to Atlanta. Traffic. Can be horrible. "

"Not many kids to play with. Houses are to far apart. Older community, not for bike riding. Quiet place to live... "

"Commute is unpredictable. Braselton Hwy is overcrowded. Proximity to two schools is a plus except for the traffic that it creates. "

"I moved to this area 10 years ago. We purchased a new home in a very nice sub-division. Our neighborhood is kept up very nicely, neighbors are friendly & you know that there is someone available if you need anything or to watch over your home if you go on a trip. You can be as involved as you like with your neighbors or keep to yourself, it's your choice. It is very quiet & peaceful. The sub-division is surrounded by fields & farms. Our backyard happens to back up to a large field which belongs to a horse farm. It is nice to watch the horses roaming around. We also see many deer, rabbits, etc.. It is a very safe, pleasant area to live in!"

"I have lived in this area for 10 years. We live in a very nice sub-division. Homes are well kept & neighbors are friendly & help each other out when needed. It is a very quiet, peaceful neighborhood. It is your choice how involved you want to be with your neighbors, but you know that they are there if needed."

"This sub-division is beautiful, hilly, friendly and kept to a T. We have an excellent association, but you only have to pay 155.00 per year. They make sure everything is in tip top condition. Loved living in Antrim Glen but had to move to Indiana to caretake parents. "
