"Nice and I will recommend it to retired personnel. I went to school in Spencer. I am not looking to buy in this neighborhood."
  • Allyssa S.
"Close proximity of the houses and they would not like the streets are messed up and broken they need to be fixed as far as I can tell they are not fixing them right now and probly will take years to fix the road."
  • Erik B.
"My commute into Salisbury is quick and less than 10 minutes. Traffic is very light and typically freely moving."
  • MichelleJ.
"I've lived in Spencer near the high school for 6 years. I thought it would be short term but have decided to stay. Love small town feel and easy access to larger cities, neighbors, arts & cultural events .. it has it all for a great price!!!"
  • Erik B.
"The school district is a growing and changing leader in education. It is a decent place to raise a child."
  • Robinphillips j.
"It’s very quiet and everyone stays to themselves. Road doesn’t have a lot of traffic..Not to many small children in the neighborhood."
  • Brittanymic88
"It’s a nice, older neighborhood but Spencer is known as not such a safe place. I think it’s safer then what people make it out to be, this is the second time I’ve lived here and no one has ever bothered me or my family. The only problem I see is a lot of loud, thumping music late all day and late at night and young people people will walk between houses and all night long down the sidewalks and they’re not quiet about it either. "
  • glitterangel k.
"lived there 3 yrs. some yards nice some real trashy, cars fly by, wouldn't let my kids walk alone, neighbors keep to themselves not very outgoing or eager to say good morning if they see you, bus driver has alot to improve on, just not my kind of neighborhood, i like friendly outgoing people, schools are ok for younger ones but as they get older the school system changes, i guess if you dont want to talk to anyone and have no kids, then it isn't too bad."
  • Shuntale S.
"Spencer is a charming historical community that is only 40 minutes from Charlotte and Winston Salem and just a few hours from the Blue Ridge Mountains, or the coastal beaches of North and South Carolina."
