The education is awful but what can you expect out of Gwinnett County. All schools are terrible in gwinnett but this one doesn't actually care about education. They only care about their agenda.

The school is not really good because of these reasons- Teachers abuse their powerSome teachers at the school abuse their power and give referrals and Eddi's (The school's punishment system)They give out Eddi's just because a student doesn't have a pencil or their Student ID lanyard which is honestly dumb.Every time a student misses their bus to go home, they give out a referral JUST because a student missed their bus.That is honestly lower than dumb and teachers can basically do whatever they want. - The school food is NASTY and prepackagedThe food they serve at the school looks horrendous and it's obviously prepackaged because they don't actually make the food. The people at the garbage cans sometimes reuse some of the apples and prepackaged stuff so you might be eating an apple that might've been in the trash and reused again or it could've been in on the floor. The food doesn't look appetizing or at least cooked. So parents looking at this, if you want your child to have a healthy lunch at this school, it wont happen. Either make your child's food or find a private school. The school food is nasty and gross.-There is lots of bad stuff happening regularlyAt this school, there are lots of fights, bullies and vandalism. When a student gets bullied and tells the school about it, Either the school will side with the bully or make your problem worse. That results in an atrocious culture and fear. Students should not have to fear being bullied. Unfortunately, many fights happen here and usually the victim also gets in trouble because they are trying to defend themselves. Lots of students stress because their teachers give homework and the teachers teaching don't do a very good job because not many people understand that the material. Many students are not excited about them learning.Also many other stuff happens but the only good thing about this school is its Special Education Program. Either don't come and move your child here or make them go to online school.

Archer was once an OK school until recently (2019). We have two students who graduated (2018, 2020), one senior, Sophomore and a freshman who attended here. Academically Archer has great AP classes, but the rest are average or what you make of it. Fortunately, my students had good teachers who cared for the most part. However, with the expansion of the school diversity over the past few years has raised concerns with systematic racism by Admin and some teachers, bullying and fighting is out of control not to mention the school is infested with drug use and nicotine addiction, both easily bought/found throughout the school campus. Admin treats student as if they're all convicts with no real strategy for students' safety and or improvement. If you can at all avoid this school (research all other alternatives as Gwinnett County Schools are declining downhill fast.) Or be prepared; Admin verbally abuses students, lacks respectful disciplinary, instead provoking and act more like correctional officers, the chance of a great teacher who wants to be here is hit or miss, drugs and vape pens are everywhere (if your child is not strong willed their peers will WIN) it will be hard for the good students to navigate the pressure stigma/stereotype here without falling victim to fitting in, depression and a declining interest for learning will set in.
