"In my neighborhood there are no side walks to walk there dog. We walk ours downtown. There is not enough street lights."
  • Rosemary
"Although there is no dog park, little to no shoulder on the roads and no sidewalks, there are lots of quiet side roads/routes for walking dogs as well as wooded common grounds. The golf course paths fir this use are for only in off season. "
  • Rosemary
"There are no sidewalks and no dog park, but there are lots of small low-traffic roads for walking dogs. "
  • Sharlie1106
"sandy town ship itsnt one of the best places to live or visit but its just a normal old Dubois neighborhood where you can lay out and get a sun tan or walk your dog. the people aren't to bad here. Everyone sticks to themselves pretty much."
  • David V.
"The commute is a very beautiful one. Lots of nature to view while on the way to work or on the way to the supermarket!"
  • Keavinclark
"i have lived in this area for 39 years and its a gr8 place, people are frendly and nice.plenty of things to do with outdoor sports and lots of gyms to attend"
  • Lewis [. H.
"Everyone watches out for everyone else and are for the most part friendly. There are community events frequently as well as multiple fundraisers and charitable events that help to support great causes."
  • Scott B.
"I've lived in the area for 46 years. It's gone through some changes and then it's still a quaint friendly place to live and raise your kids.."
  • Dobbydepello
"no side walks, too many deer, squirrels, Chipmunks, can't have a garden! no streetlights. no friendly neighborhood"
  • Trulia User
"Plenty of natural walks and squirrels to chase. Lots of deer to distract them. Fireworks at 4th of July might be a little frightening."
  • Deanna H.
"I have lived here for most of my life and it's pretty much a small town everyone knows pretty much everyone which has its good and bad qualities but overall I think Dubois has a little bit of everything going for it as far as entertainment goes and the community all and all we stick together when times get tough. "
  • Amypowers70
"You can walk to town and you can walk to any event that is being held down town. You have grade schools close and the middle school. And yes this neighborhood is very in to it for Halloween. And how I know this, I grew up just 2 doors up from the house We live in now."
  • Keavinclark
"Quiet neighborhood love the neighbors and the environment.very polite people in the area my son also loves it here"
  • Tyler5188
"Treasure Lake has lots of amenities for property owners. Plus it’s only a 5-10 minute drive to town."
  • Totms2
"I don't see too many baby/toddler play dates. 5-10ish seem to hang out within a few houses with "friends", go to the parks and find aquaintences, maybe playdates with school friends. Teens hang with friends, go to what's left of the mall, hang out at the park. Most parents I know let children from mid elementary walk places "alone" as long as there are at least 2 children."
  • Grayron690
" music in the park parades fireworks lots of places to eat Wal-Mart super center The bars are nice and reasonable. "
  • bedyll
"great campground for family fun. pools, put put golf, golf courses, beach, marina, tennis courts, fishing, ski lodge."
