There are plenty of small to medium sized parks nearby to take the little ones for either a swim in a creek, an easy hike, or just to play on the playground. Cute boutiques and great restaurants line Main Street and there are drug stores like CVS where you can get the basics without having to drive to Calera or Alabaster. "
