Description

If there was ever a property suited for the world we live in today this one fits the bill perfectly.  Expansive and sophisticated, this contemporary arts & crafts cape is without a doubt special and can check off virtually every box on buyers' wish list.  Main home features one level living for those that want it, as well as an open kitchen/dining/living floor plan with cathedral ceilings, complete with 4 bedrooms and 4 full bathrooms.  What's unique and special about this home is the trifecta of ensuite bedrooms each with private bath.  When most floor plans just don't accommodate today's larger, more dynamic, multigenerational households, this one just hits it out of the park on so many levels.  Generously proportioned gathering spaces yet still distinct and spacious bedroom suites designed with independence in mind for the utmost privacy.  Upstairs features an entire self contained 1 bedroom suite with full kitchen, full bath, and private cantilevered balcony.  Run your company from this space comfortably or just use it for extended family or supplemental income.  And if that wasn't already enough, prepare to have your mind blown when you see the detached 900 sq ft carriage house with 2 car garage and 1 bedroom 2 bath guest quarters above.  The carriage house features wood beamed cathedral ceilings, cozy living area and well appointed full kitchen. The layers of value are what make this property stand out from anything else on the market today in this price range.  In total, your comfort levels are well supported with 5 bedrooms and 6 full baths, essentially 3 fully equipped kitchens spread across 4 full private guest suites, all tastefully decorated with mission style furniture and other custom arts & crafts details.  All this on 11 beautiful acres with the perfect mix of meadow views and mature private woodland.  There's room for the pool and multiple acres of fertile tillable land for farming and (2) 2-car garages that amplify your vehicle storage options.  Here you really can eat your cake and have it too.  Roughly 5 minutes to the village of Gardiner conveniences and about 10 minutes to New Paltz.  Just minutes to to Tillson Lake, Mohonk Preserve and Minnewaska State Park.  2 hours to NYC.  A new kind of home for a new kind of buyer.

"Must have car. No pubic transport available. Wallkill is 15 minutes from the nearest towns with grocery stores (newburgh, new paltz, Montgomery, pine bush, Walden) and 20-40 minutes drive from the larger suburban areas (Monroe-Woodbury, Middletown, Poughkeepsie, Hyde Park, Kingston). "
  • John Marullo
"Be careful of stranger cars on back roads! You never know who the odd vehicles are. We have known this,or have been made aware of, since we moved in thirty years ago. "
  • John Marullo
"Even though we are in a great environment, never leave your children alone! We have had predators come into our rural neighborhoods, and take our children."
  • Aixa F.

  • Jak2559
"Lived here my whole life. Beautiful safe and friendly. Need a car a lot of wildlife is the only reason to not walk at night. "
  • JAS
"The rail trail and Wallkill River are right in the hamlet and offer wonderful hiking, biking, boating, and fishing opportunities. There are a few restaurants (Elsie's is wonderful - and so is the Cavu), but there are also many, many more excellent ones within a 20- minute drive to Newburgh, Pine Bush. or New Paltz. Quaint little town with a great little library and a few interesting shops, too. Community activities abound. "
  • Benznboats
