5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is my 8th year with kids at Sycamore. I have very mixed feelings about this school. Basically, they can be broken down as the teachers are fantastic and the administration is awful. If you are considering Sycamore and think your child needs special education services, I would recommend sending them somewhere else (because they will probably not get an IEP at Sycamore.) Also, Sycamore has a LOT of combination classes. I think I have had kids in combination classes for 4 years. This year, one of my kids is in a class with 5 other students her own grade and ~22 students a different grade. "I don’t like living in simi. It’s quiet and safe and full of paranoid people who moved here because it’s quiet and safe and are convinced they need to keep people from the San Fernando valley out. Its not awful to live here if you have kids, but it’s too far away from the really fun stuff LA has to offer, and it’s not as inexpensive as it once was."
