5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSince moving to Ferndale in 2019 I have been impressed with the sense of community and support offered to students in the Ferndale School District. While I’ve lived in other school districts with “better” ratings I’ve never seen a community come out in support of the kids the same way Ferndale does. The educators care about their students. Where there is an opportunity is a greater focus on academics. Especially in the elementary levels. I think if the academics were more robust in the elementary schools these kids would be better prepared to excel in high school. Occasionally I’ve needed to nudge the school district in the right direction when they stopped offering things like the PSAT. But overall I believe Ferndale did a good job preparing my kids to succeed at the next level.Parent Review11mo ago8 Reviews - Vista Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI will never have my child go to this school again because of the experience they had here. There is drug and alcohol abuse as well as bullying. It is definitely not the experience I want my child to have growing up. The school also deals with racism. To colored students, they get treated worse and not as equals to everyone else. They also have problems with sexism. When the staff are disobeyed by students they defend themselves by coming up with racist or sexist slurs and when called out for it they deny the whole thing.Other Review8y ago3 Reviews - Skyline Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy special needs adult child was currently working at skyline as a janitor through vocational rehabilitation. She has been working with them for years and has done a great job she recently turned 20 years old she's low functioning autistic she does make voices which we've worked on all year to get her to only do during appropriate time which I agree with. However she had gotten a tattoo the size of a quarter on her finger in between her fingers. The next day she was fired as a janitor due to her birthday gift of a tattoo. I am disgusted with this school it makes me sick and I promise you if I find anybody in that school with the tattoo when I go in there besides my child we will have a problem I will be contacting who I need to immediately.Parent Review2y ago8 Reviews - Check out schools near 2115 Riverstone Loop #101.

"We have friendly neighbors and we all get along and help each other. It is safe enough for the kids to play in the street and we all look out for one another."

"None, we don’t have community events. People are busy spending family time and working. This is very typical of the PNW. It works for everyone."

"We have town hall meetings every month as well as get togethers during the summer time. I recommend this community to anyone who enjoys golfing, swimming and being close to the bay."
