5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis rating tracks APs but not IB tests. Lamar is the world's largest IB school. The IB diploma and career tracks are great options for kids who choose that pathway.Parent Review9mo ago - Pershing Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWorst experience with HISD! ALL of the staff from the front desk to the teachers to the principals are especially rude and lack empathy. As soon as you walk into the school it feels dark and depressing. As soon as I could get my child out of this school I did. The Principal seems to be there for a paycheck and has a bad attitude, which makes sense since that is the way the staff members act as well. My kids were depressed and hated going to school here, I wished I would have pulled them out sooner.Parent Review1y ago - Roberts Elementary School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI generally enjoyed my time here, but I would suggest that the parent(s) give the child extra education, as the school material is generally too easy and your child might have difficulty in a good middle school.Student Review7y ago - Check out schools near 2111 University Blvd.

"We have both lived and worked in this area for many years. It is 5 to 10 minutes from downtown or the Galleria area. We are 2 minutes from the Museum of Fine Arts, many fine restaurants and entertainment. The Medical Center is 5 minutes away. St. Thomas University is minutes away. The train stops close and you can get to Reliant Stadium or Toyota Center. Trade in your commute time into quality of life entertainment."
