Serenity Cabin:
Family-friendly home in beautiful hudson valley. 10 mins from Kingston, Saugerties and Woodstock and less than 2 hours away from New York!.

See more snapshots @theserenityhomes on insta.

Beautiful and bright with everything you could need for a weekend or even a month. Come to enjoy all the Hudson valley has to offer at our beautiful home.

We love spending time at the cabin, and we hope you love it as much as we do!
The space
Come visit and make our house your home. Explore the Hudson valley and Catskills, have meals on the deck soaking in the woods, enjoy the pool or gather around the fire pit. It all connects so seamlessly that time seems to stand still as days go by. We love this little home for respite from the chaos for our little family as well as a place to bring friends and family together. We hope it's the same for you.

For summer months please note that the house has air conditioning.

Kitchen and Dining Room

We have a very comfortable kitchen complete with all the amenities you will need to cook large meals for your group. There is a very large fridge, double oven, ceramic stove top, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, food processor, plates (setting for 12), cups, cutlery, knives, pots, pans, banking dishes, mixing bowls, hand blender, and more. Dining table with seating for 10 adjoins the kitchen.

Living areas
The sun soaked living room is a great place to catch up with old friends, play one of our many board games or enjoy a nice book. The living room does have a fire place which we welcome you to use with care.

The Den is the perfect spot for the kids to enjoy our toys (best suited for toddlers), dance around, or watch TV. With a love seat, large sectional, floor pillows and a plush carpet, there is lots of seating for the whole family to curl up and watch a movie. We don't have cable but we do have a SmartTV with Hulu and Netflix subscriptions logged in before your arrival.

The Bedrooms.
Bedroom #1: Master Bedroom. Located on the garden level of the house it provides lots of space, ample privacy, and a private bath with a bathtub and a stand up shower. King bed.

Bedroom #2: The Front Loft. Large loft open to the sun-drenched living room below. Accessible via private staircase from the main floor. It has an en suite bath.

Bedrooms #3 & 4: The West Wing (a.k.a. the Family Wing). The last two bedrooms adjoin one another. They are great for a family with the parents upstairs in the Back Loft and the kids downstairs on the main floor. Bath right beside the downstairs part of the bedroom with shower. Queen bed in both. Toddler bed also downstairs.

Outside
There are two seasonal decks available for use from May through late October. On one we have outdoor seating for 10 The stairs down from the lower deck lead to the back yard where you can enjoy nearly 1 acre of manicured lawns and gardens in the spring, summer and fall, which transforms into a small hill to sled down in the winter. There is a fire pit for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows, or enjoying the sound of crickets under the stars. We try to keep wood for the fire but make no guarantees. In the event there is none on the property you can get a bundle in town (10 minutes away).

The house is located on a sparsely populated street in Ruby, NY. You'll have privacy during your stay, but several neighbors are within earshot.

The Pool

In the back lawn there's a 30 foot swimming pool with steps along one side for young children

Short term rental. For longer rentals cleans every 2 weeks required. NO parties.

"Good and interesting, always a lot of people and new people. Every store and cafe is exclusive and nice."
  • Slaperri
"A lot of Saugerties is rural; but even in town there is a lot of sidewalk space to walk around and several parks. There’s also several places with access to the Hudson River for puppy swimming"
  • Kcmoore89
"Local ball drop on Christmas Eve, Santa comes though town on a fire truck, local Christmas tree lighting, local live music venues, garlic festival, car show, local art, farmers market. It’s prolly the cutest place ever "
  • Joy_chew2
"how could you complain being right next to the Hudson River and the Catskills. people are friendly and is truly a beautiful place to live"
  • R P.
"Car shows , garlic fest, other festivals, zombie crawl, new year ball drop, horse shows, parades and many more things."
  • Sam
"Good sense of local pride in a very laid back manner. Non pretentious and artsy with local food restaurants and café "
  • Ally K.
"It’s a nice place to live but it’s very boring. I have been here three years so I’m ready to go back home to Long Island. "
  • Debbie.burdge%40yahoo.com
"I've lived here for eight months. My mother has lived here for 30 years. Great people here. People respect the environment."
  • Dteddybear23
"The neighborhood is great with dogs everyone walks there dogs around the neighborhood and takes them down to the school before or after school and Eat there dogs run "
  • Stacey F.
"Born and raised and still reside here. A lot of good memories Christmas in the village car shows Orpheum theater ice skating ball park zombie night "
  • Badbrainsgirl
"bad neighborhood for dogs. major high way, lots of speeding and dead animals. also wild animals that are big enough to kill house cats."
  • Melissa S.
"There are a lot of children in the area. Parents should be aware of drivers in the area, they are not the safest drivers unfortunately, they can be careless and reckless! It is a very nice area to live in! "
  • Margarita Asiain
"It's quiet, unassuming, not pretentious. Saugerties has a pretty village with restaurants, shops and old movie theatre, and spreads out so much of it is quite rural, which I love."
  • Tom
"Its a quiet area. It lies somewhere happily between seclusion and convenience. A 5-10 minute drive to downtown Woodstock and Saugerties and all that entails. A 5-10 minute drive to miles upon miles of hiking and backpacking trails. Some of which connect to and stretch for the eastern coast of the US, from Vermont to Georgia. A 30 minute drive to multiple micro cities, ski resorts and villages and a 60 minute drive to Albany and Newburgh which each have their own perfectly sized airports. I think the area is the perfect place to live when you don't want to deal with the stresses of the modern world but still want the convenience of it."
  • Jason K.
"The sawyer car show is absolutely amazing. I enjoy the Christmas in the village as well, the Siracusano family really contributes to the community and I am honored to be a part of it. Saugerties in general is just a great place to relax on the town and enjoy everything that it has to offer. "
  • Ajrmasonry
"There are many families here and many great parks and sporting events throughout the summer and most of the year"
  • Deborahabarry
"5 miles to major grocery store. Many local shops in the village 7 miles to mall shopping in Kingston Thruway exit right there"
  • Ajrmasonry
"There is always something going on in the neighborhood! Plus Saugerties is known for its festivals. "
  • Mike N.
"I've lived here my whole life and it's an ok town to live and raise kids but expensive to live here "
  • Samantha c.
"Calm streets, nice scenery and a million hiking trails for long walks. Good local vets and not far from Woodstock Dog Park. "
  • Jkalkire
"Friendliness of the people. We all have a common goal and seem to watch out for one another without getting into each other's business."
  • Sheila H.
"It's a beautiful little town, close to the city, and has everything. village swimming, designer stores, horses, charm."
