My best friend goes here and she hates it

My daughter attends k here this year. She has a great pair of teachers! They have taught her so much this year already and have her reading on her own! She has been challenged this year as she enjoys this kind of teaching. I think we have the best two teachers in the school, aside from one other in a higher grade. The teachers are extremely involved with these kids, although as some parents have stated, some teachers do scream at the students, one of which is no longer here this year. I spend a lot of time on the inside of this school with volunteering here and some things I have witnessed definitely was brought up and needs vast improvement. However, the principal this year makes surethe kids are completely safe while in her care. She is strict but great!

This school is a very mediocre institution. The administration often seems lost and ignorant as to how to appropriately approach situations. The vice principal once told me that, in regard to the school's performance, "It doesn't matter what the kids think." NHS hardly prepares the student for college, and does even less to prepare them for the real world and having a career. Many teachers seem to try harder at being the students friend instead of actually teaching. It is however, what you make of it, and the resources provided by the school can be used by an independent mind to very much succeed.
