Brewton Elementary School has a passion for excellence! We do not want to be good--we want to be great! We believe that all children should learn something every day and we are dedicated to that vision. We were one of the first Alabama Reading Initiative schools and served as a demonstration site for teachers throughout the state. We are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools/Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS/CASI) through Advanced Ed. During our most recent review, the chair of the accreditation committee observed five of our teachers and said it was the best teaching she had ever seen. At BES, we believe in educating the whole child, and provide daily physical education and weekly music, art, library, and computer training for all of our students. Through these programs, we expand their horizons, build background knowledge, teach them to problem solve and develop their thinking skills.We are very proud of what we have accomplished, and are excited about what lies ahead--but we also recognize that we have accomplished this through a partnership with our parents and community. There is a lot of school pride in Brewton, Alabama and we enjoy tremendous local support.

This school lacks leadership and discipline. This information is very misleading compared to the reality of the problems that go on in this school and bleed over to the high school. Our community is misled by paid for accolades posted on social media or ratings like this which are based on not providing the full picture. The administration covers up anything that can reflect poorly on them. I would home school before i sent another child through Brewton Middle School. Trainwreck!
