6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is excellent for both college preparation and career preparation. For future college students, they offer a wide array of AP courses. For non college, they offer courses in a variety of trades. The school offers a college like atmosphere where the students are given a lot of responsibility in their education. This is great for motivated kids, but there are plenty of unmotivated kids who skip a lot of classes and do poorly. The school is criticized for lack of diversity, and I agree with that because the area is mostly rich, white and liberal. The rich, white, liberal kids tend to be entitled, spoiled and LAZY. Our son was not raised like this. He goes to school every day, does not skip classes, works hard on his homework, studies for tests, and goes to bed at a decent time to get a good night's sleep. With these habits, he makes mostly As, but he has plenty of friends who have bad habits and get poor or mediocre grades. Education is what you make it. This school gives students every opportunity to excel, but they cannot force kids to do their homework or prevent kids from staying up all night wasting time on social media and Tiktok.Parent Review9mo ago13 Reviews - Brookwood School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have no doubt this elementary school must be one of the best around. I have researched it a lot. As a prospective parents, we were happy that a slot was available for our child. Unfortunately, it must be said, there is still a level of racism present. It is not outspoken, of course, but one knows exactly, one can tell. You see, we are not your typical white Caucasian family. We are Hispanic. We are well educated and have professional degrees. None of that matters of course, just how you look, I guess. Basically my experience is as follows: we received a letter indicating that a spot was available for our child. We decided to visit the place one day, and, boy, what a chilling reception. Nothing wrong or insulting was said to us, but the body language and the words, or severe lack of them. are as clear as anything. The receptionist/secretary person was clearly giving me the message "I do not want you here, when are you leaving already?". As much as a fake smile and some cold answers may try to ameliorate this awkward meeting, one can tell. Very sad, and I think that if my child was there, it would be a nightmare to endure, and I don't think I want my child to go through that.Parent Review12y ago3 Reviews - Albion Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was previously a student here. This school is great if you don't care about friends. Albion students think exactly the same way, and if you aren't on any athletic team or aren't of the popular religion, you are going have to a hard time. I found that seventh grade honors math wasn't challenging, but eighth grade honors was. I think they need harder social studies and science classes, possibly an honors course. However, I think that most of the teachers are great and they really try to help you. I had one teacher that if I had a differently look on my face she would ask if I was okay. I think the counselors and staff are great. I also like the principal that was new to the 2014-2015 year much more than the other one. Even though many things at this school is great, the students that attend are what bring it down.Other Review10y ago7 Reviews - Check out schools near 2073 E Eldon Way S.

"I like Cottonwood Heights but I prefer Holladay area. The rental prices are too high in Cottonwood Heights For no reason the neighborhoods aren’t that different from each other. In fact Holladay has more to offer."
