If I had it to do over again, I would homeschool my child before sending him to Lakeshore. It was a terrible experience. We didn't even realize how bad it was until we moved to another district. At his current school my child is thriving. He is organized. He is a productive member of his class. He no longer roams the halls or his classroom. His social skills are right on target. At Lakeshore he was just being babysat and passed along. I hope Lakeshore will make major changes and improve for the sake of their children and their future.

I've never seen a group of professionals like this express such apathy towards their students and their education/well-being, especially those with special needs. The school is obviously further behind than other schools in the area such as Neville HS, with not many opportunities for any children to grow, unless you do sports. Like most schools they love sports more than academics. This school has been extremely negligent and rude towards my child with disabilities, often making our situation worse at home. They have zero communication skills, nor do they even care to update parents on how their child is doing. The school counselors and nurse have yelled at my child as he was having a panic attack and when this report to student support services of the district, they showed that they just as equally do not have students in mind or care about them. The teachers have been nice, but all other employees in this district have been extremely unprofessional. Do not let your child go to this school if you have the choice

Over the past three years serving as principal, we have experienced consistent growth and progress as a school community. During this time, we have made several improvements to both the interior and exterior of our campus, including upgrades to the auditorium, library, and stadium.We are committed to implementing innovative instructional strategies that align with and are supported by the state of Louisiana.
