"It is quiet and full of old people. Plus no one comes trick or trea so that’s good. We are old and like the silence. "
  • Dlmcq
"Medford on the whole is a nice town because of what the greater close surrounding area offers. The Rogue Valley is unique for having so many other smaller bedroom towns and neighborhoods which offer a variety of feel, cost of rent, city feel or country-ish/small-town environment, as well as very different atmospheres such as Ashland and Jacksonville. Culture and educational options, relative beauty and proximity to coast, larger cities and mountains is a big plus over places inland and elsewhere. "
  • Charlesdkieffer
"Very short and simple I’m close to about anything I need I love it could not be more Happy with we’re I live "
  • Charlesdkieffer
"I have no idea I don’t have a dog so I’m clueless about what people may want for there Dogs although there are some dog parks in the area they might be interested in "
  • Djhensler
"Primarily it is a good neighborhood but people do NOT obey the speed limit at all. Drivers need to slow down."
  • Susan B.
"I have lived in this home for nearly 9 years. The neighborhood is safe and I feel safe taking a walk even after midnight. The neighbors are very friendly and we watch out for each other. Whenever one of us plans to be away for a few days or even a few weeks we talk to each other and make sure everything is safe. All the neighbors take pride in maintaining our homes inside and out. This is a great place to live. Also we welcome new neighbors into the area whatever their age or background. It’s just a friendly and warm area to call our neighborhood and we are close to shopping, medical care and a variety of restaurants. "
  • Karla
"It’s close to downtown and grocery store. There are plenty of things to do like go to the mountains., lakes, rivers, Oregon and California coasts, Redwoods and wineries. We also have great restaurants and theater venues nearby. The Rogue River is close by and the highways are close as well."
  • Vanillasweet
"I have lived here for about a year. It's quiet and overall pleasant. It just needs more light! I'm happy here and the neighbors are pleasant."
  • Karla H.
"There are a lot of dog owners in my neighborhood and it’s very dog friendly. Everyone is nice and stops to say hello. "
  • Shalvarez4
"The commute here is easy to find anything , Everything at a convenient location near and not too much of a drive"
  • Acroft55pa
"Very special area, sought out area to live. Neighbors say hi to each other. If mail gets delivered wrong they always go out of their way and watch out for packages delivered. "
  • Matt D.
"You would not like the lack of sidewalks and street lamps. You would like the field at SMHS to let your dog run around off leash. "
  • Rachel B.
"More money goes into maintaining the East side than any other part of Medford. The "good" areas are hit & miss. As always more crime & poverty in the south but there are some parts of the south that are okay. Like I said, hit & miss."
  • Pamela O.
"Near elementary school, middle school and high school. near hospital, Walmart and Fred Meyer, Panda express, Starbucks, banks, shares, Carls Jr, Jimmy Johns, grocery outlet, liquor store, Big 5, Shari's and Harry and David, McGraths. We've lived her the past 20 years. we've loved this area."
  • Laniortiz14
"There are lots of grassy areas for dogs and plenty of quiet neighborhoods with sidewalk to walk dogs."
  • Susan B.
"Everyone takes pride in upkeep of their home and very friendly neighbors. I have lived here for 8 years. Very safe and quiet neighborhood. Virtually no crime and all homes very well maintained and beautiful lawns. I am comfortable taking a walk any time day or night. Very close to Rogue Medical center as well as shopping. Extremely quiet and low traffic street and neighborhood "
  • Pamela O.
"this neighborhood is great and near schools, everything is near by. Jefferson, Mclaughlin and South H.S"
  • Saul F.
"East Medford is very nice I have liver here almost 3 years i love it. i dont hear the same about the west side but i wouldn't know. Beautiful area and good people live here. "
  • Trulia User
"We’ve lived here for six years, there are, like everywhere, pluses and minuses. But overall it’s pretty nice."
  • Kirk S.
"During busy hours, commuting outside of Medford can take some time. Too many traffic light where roundabouts could be used."
  • Trulia User
"easy commute with moderate traffic various modes of public transportation available in most areas. bike and walking paths "
  • Alexia P.
"Going into Medford or onto the freeway southbound takes so long. There are 3 major intersections that get backed up and you get caught off so much. A 5 minute drive from anywhere else will take 20 minutes sometimes just to get to the freeway."
  • Daxson M.
"Nothing. It's typical Medford small town. Almost feels like suburbia but not quite as nice. It's mostly baby boomers and retirees. The schools are not good but it is pretty safe. "
  • 2 R. B.
"the place here is great for people with dogs. all you need is a doggie bag to make sure you keep our sidewalks clean. also there is a park close by where I live and it makes it better since I have dogs as well. I have 2 small dogs. i say yes dog owners will love living here."
  • Amanda C.
"Great parks, many outdoor activities. People are very sweet here. Have only been here 3 years but have noticed how much more friendly everyone is."
  • Susan B.
"Great access to shopping, hospitals, businesses and restaurants. It’s an extremely quiet neighborhood. I have lived here for 7 years. Easy access to I-5. No traffic in the subdivision whatsoever. Friendly area. Neighbors are always willing to watch your house if you are away for just a few days to months. When my family was ill I went back to Chicago for over 3 months. The neighbors kept me informed and watched things for me I don’t have a security system and don’t feel I need to pay for one. I have been a widow for 6 years and feel very safe here. "
  • Matt D
"Nothing is organized that I know of in our SW neighborhood in Medford. Not much of a community. No bike paths, green spaces, community center, street lamps and inconsistent sidewalks make it somewhat unfriendly. "
  • Layla Z.
"Downtown is walking distance and bus stops at the top of the street. Movie theater is also walking distance as well as the local farmers market. Many parks are within walking distance as well as dog parks and a grocery store. Access to the bike path is also very close. "
  • Missheatherm
"Movie in the park events are a great gathering for families and I felt completely safe with hundreds of people there in and out of cars for the movies. Very cute way to entertain the community. There is a lot of downtown live music events in bars and also out in public stage area. Movie night is definitely the best thing I’ve seen in Medford by far. I was seriously impressed. "
  • Claudia Z.
"yes my neighborhood has good access to transportation and it's easy to get around right here it's close to Phoenix or you got a little bit of a walk to Medford if you needed to walk I like to hear at the beginning of the park at is on the did buses that go through Medford the transit buses route so that's convenient otherwise I have a car and I just drive I like the Exspress way. I never thought about how many times I have had to stop for the lights . "
  • Trulia User
"They have to be leashed but all dogs are friendly and there’s lots of waste stations around for cleaning up after them "
  • Deanna H.
"South high school has a better sports and academic program then North high school. The cost of living is comparable with the rest of the nation. "
  • Deanna H.
"Moved to the area 2 years ago and love it. Time to buy a house. I prefer the area in the South Medford High School district. "
  • Rdeboer0624
"The hill is a little steep for bicycles, though that doesn’t stop the doctor who rides his to work everyday."
  • Kmeckfessels
"We live near the high school and we spend a lot of time at the high school and love to listen to the band at certain events. We enjoy the football games also. "
  • Kayti B.
"people walk their dogs all the time. however, this is near a very busy road. my road is also busy for a neighborhood. The main road I live next to is not safe for people or dogs. many incidents involving dog or person vs vehicle has happened here."
  • Cailey A. P.
"There are a lot of dog walkers, but the road has a lot of traffic. It’s right by the park though, and dog park. So it’s not too bad of an area for dog walkers. "
  • Kmeckfessels
"Everyone watches after each other, if your garbage is out a neighbor will put it back where it belongs."
  • Sandi m. s.
"Concerts & Movies in the Park. Lots of arts and culture events that appeal to to the entire family. Beer/Wine festivals."
