Good school. Ofcourse ratings fluctuate. Have had some teachers that are better with my child than others. I will say that some scores may be down because of the large influx of ESL students. I firmly believe in no standardized testing before 3 Rd or 4 th grade. And my child is so good at math and reading and art etc.... but scored low when tested in first grade ....

"There are plenty of places to walk your dog. Other dog owners are friendly and courteous. The town has plenty of bag stations for dog waste. "

"Manteo, NC is beautiful and a great town, very family friendly. Lots of history and events to enjoy. Very walkable with great restaurants and play areas for Children. Highly recommend visiting or living here."

"downtown manteo has alot of historic value, they do plays and reenactments. we also have a play every summer about our lost colony"

"Lots of stuck up rude people that don’t care for kids. Tourism thinks it owns the town. Everything is over priced. I have lived all over the USA and this is by far the worst to live. Visiting is nice though. "

"Great in the off season, then summer Is hard due to traffic and rudeness. Tons for kids to do, beach, fish, kites, museum, pirates cove has tons for kids to do also. "
