3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt’s been a couple years but my oldest son graduated from this high school. He was supposed to have an IEP. Did he ever get one? Nope. The first couple years we had to talk to them about it constantly and nothing was done. He would fall asleep in class and did they say anything to us? Nope. Did they do anything to him? Nope. Basically was just let him do it and not even care. Let’s not get into the fact that he was so stoned out of his mind one day. Did ANY of the staff members say or do anything? Nope. It truly felt that they were there to just get a pay check. Now that he is older now he would say there would be tons of fights often. He would skip class and nothing was ever done about it. He literally skipped most of the school days or slept through them. Did he graduate? Yes. How is that possible? They put him in a room to take some tests on a computer and said that was good enough. The high school we knew was trash before being forced to move to the area as we had a neighbor that went there when he was younger and his brother even went there. Anderson High school is better off, for the most part , torn down and used as a parking lot. I know what some of you may think “well the parents should be more involved”. We were and we rode him to try and do and be better. But it only works when faculty are able to work together and keep kids in line and actually teach them. We put our two other kids in Daleville Schools after that experience. Anderson High School is a joke of an educational institutionParent Review1y ago8 Reviews - Valley Grove Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe removed our son from this school and put him into K12 online schooling for year 2023/2024. The bullying is INSANE!! My son was spit on, physically harmed and came home with bruises all over his body after school and the other kids called him names and said the most hateful things to him that has literally tarnished his love for himself! My son now thinks he’s worthless and stupid due to the bullying at this school and now I am doing everything I can to fix his mental issues due to the physical and mental abuse done to him by the kids at this school. They have a ‘no bullying tolerance’, but nothing was ever done to help my son.He also had 3 teachers in one school year! The first one was fired, the second one was only there a few months because she was pregnant and had her baby, and the third teacher was there for maybe less than a month before the school year ended. There were also MANY substitute teachers throughout the year as well. Due to this, my son did horrible that year which was his 4th grade year of school. And I blame half of that reason due to so many teachers coming in and out and I could never get the teachers to keep in contact with me about what I needed to do in order to help my son succeed and do well with his grades.Parent Review2y ago1 Reviews - Highland Jr High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere is little to no family engagement at this school. Parents are not invited into the building. This has been an underperforming school for quite some time; however, they keep doing the same things. I would love to see them change things up and do things differently - engage families, get them involved, get them in the school building. Do something different.Parent Review7y ago1 Reviews - Check out schools near 2067 E County Road 600S.
