Right off of Shattuck Ave--you get the convenience of all restaurants/shops/movies and entertainment/book stores/art stores, but in a quieter setting, since it's not directly on the main street. Conveniently located to anything you need! I have been satisfied living here WITHOUT a car for 2 years (although there is indoor and outdoor private parking available + street parking for visitors - my company has never had an issue finding street parking). Public Transit: - 6 blocks away/8-10 minute walk from BART (25 minute commute into SF).
- On the corner of Dwight/Shattuck (steps away): AC Transit F bus into Emeryville/SF (30 minute commute into SF Sales Force Tower during rush hour/20 minutes on weekend) as well as #18 Bus to Oakland. 1. Grocery Stores: Berkeley Bowl (AMAZING!) 8 blocks south, Trader Joes 9 blocks north + 2 aves west. Both within 10-15 minute walk.
2. Convenient Stores/Pharmacy: Corner store 1 block north with basic needs, Dollar Tree 1 block north, CVS 4 blocks north, Walgreens 6 blocks north
3. Laundry: on-site washer/dryer unit in sister building next door! Or if you'd prefer doing multiple loads at once, laundromat 1 block north with plenty of machines (I've never had to wait)
4. Target: 6 blocks north, adjacent to BART
5. Restaurants: Chipotle, Starbucks, McDonalds, Extreme Pizza, Toss Noodles, Tuk Tuk Thai, Angeline's Louisiana Kitchen, Jupiter, Gather, Berkeley Social Club, Veggie Grill, The Flying Falafel, The Butcher's Son, The Cheese Board, and MANY MORE...all within 10 minute walk!
