About this House

In 1933 R.H. Collier Sr. built the building located at 203 West Main which housed a grocery store. In 1948 his son Bob Collier opened the R.H. Collier Pharmacy Company in building which included a old time soda fountain. Late night domino games were also played in the attic at the back of the drug store. The pharmacy business continued operation by Bob Collier until 2005. The present owners Steve and Mary Norman purchased the building in 2010 and refurbished it to near original state by pulling up 1 layer of burdt orange carpet, 1 layer of plywood and 2 layers of linoleum flooring revealing the original oak floors. They also removed the drop ceiling tile revealing the original pressed tin ceiling and the old skylight space. A small living area/office space is located in the attic and a 1/2 bath is located at the back of the store front. The administration and staff are failing to educate the children of Post as indicated by the improvement required status and no.2 ranking. They rule the parents and children by retaliation and harassment if the parents express disagreement of what is going on at the school. We should not have to send our kids to other towns to get an education. The new elementary will do our kids no good without changes in administration and staff. I believe a civil lawsuit should be filed on behalf of the parents and children who are being denied access to education in Post.
