Shellhouse Mountain Road is unpaved but is well-maintained by the Town and plowed frequently. It is a quiet road & is excellent for going for walks & bike rides. Route 7 is close by and well-maintained year-round by the Vermont AOT.
We require no trash build up on the porches or the exterior of the building. Trash removal is at the expense of the renter.
We also require that the property outside be kept neat & free of clutter to allow for routine maintenance such as lawn mowing & snow plowing.
There are two porches. There is a large front porch that allows room for outdoor dining & a smaller porch on the end of the house facing the driveway.
There is plenty of parking for multiple vehicles.
There is not a garden on site but the tenant is allowed to have a garden if they choose.
There is high speed internet available at the renter's expense, perfect for anyone who wants to work from home. BUT, running a personal business out of the home is not permitted.
Rent: Monthly rent is $2,100.00 which includes lawn mowing and driveway snow removal. All other utilities are the responsibility of the tenant. We require a one-year lease commitment. We will consider applicants who own pets. First month's rent, security deposit and applicable pet deposit are required at lease signing. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe School and the district seem to be challenged with the same issues as noted in previous comments in this string over the last decade. The Ferrisburgh school building is surpassing 60 plus years of age and has long been demonstrating it has outlived its life cycle. Each year the local taxes continue to rise to support a system where the district has seen declining enrollment. Regrettably the area resists merging to save jobs and the academic offering at the classroom level. To compound the issue "unsettling clicks" of students, parents and teachers have formed to oppose any progressive movement to enhance, the mantra of "don't change and keep things the same" is the active thinking.
