i’m so surprised to see all the positive reviews of this school. i graduated in 1998. by half a point or so each audition, i sat first oboe for the 3 yrs i was there. my grandma paid $1250 per semester in tuition for being in jimtown district. oddly, my biggest bullies were my assistant band directors, one of which is now an assistant principal there. don’t let gb bully you, for her own insecurities dominate her ‘practice.’

Absolutely love Concord School District!! Middlebury and Concord schools are the only school district in Indiana I will put my children in for their Education!!

I work very closely with the school. We bought our house when our oldest was an infant knowing that this was the school district best for our family. Now that our oldest is enrolled at OxBow I know this is still the best decision. However, there has been some concerns I have as a parent. Some issues I have addressed about my child's education, things that were continuously promised to be corrected but were not done so after many failed attempts. But overall, staff is amazing and accommodates to all their students. Many teachers go way above and beyond for their students! They continue to work despite being able to retire because they love what they do. Which makes me feel good as a parent knowing my child's mind is in amazing hands. Very few teachers need to be more organized and understanding when it comes to students realizing that not all children are "wired" the same. OxBow also has additional staff to help spend extra time with students with special needs/extra help individually. Thus, creates a better learning environment for all varieties of student needs to succeed. Many sub teachers are permitted paraprofessionals that already work with the school on a daily basis and know the students well. Other sub teachers are permitted, they work closely with the school whether it be PTO or volunteering time during school hours. Aside my view on not having a problem corrected with my child's academics I would say, without a doubt, this is the best Elementary school within Concord!!
