This school picks and chooses which students they want to give attention and support to. If you're not a big sports player or popular kid, you get targeted or pushed aside...even by many of the teachers. My students have severe anxiety about going to school here each day and the curriculum is ridiculous. I graduated in 2001, my junior year with a grade point average of 3.9. I was able to challenge all my senior classes, while tutoring other students and earn an honors diploma...and I cannot do most of my 8th graders homework! They are not teaching them things they will actually use in life, such as homec, balancing their checkbook, drivers ed, writing in cursive on paper, so they can sign their name or read the declaration of independance...instead they have them staring at screens that cause brain damage and spending the budget on gaming computers instead of fixing the roof and heaters so students don't come home sick everyday! Its rediculous and inpractical. If their were another option here, my student would not be attending grant-union school.
