This property is no longer available to rent or to buy. This description is from March 13, 2024
Nestled on the treelined and picturesque Leeward Lane, this exceptional Newport Beach home is an unparalleled masterpiece. It boasts an impressive expanse of almost 6,000 square feet of living space and is priced competitively at $1,089/square foot, and it can be purchased fully furnished. As you step inside, you will immediately notice the attention to detail and custom home finishes. The builder meticulously selected the finest materials throughout the residence. Rich solid oak hardwood floors, carefully milled from 125-year-old reclaimed barn wood. The home's centerpiece is a bespoke three-level floating staircase with 3-inch solid oak treads, a striking symbol of architectural ingenuity. The open floor plan effortlessly merges the interior with the outdoor oasis, offering an uninterrupted flow through expansive 17-foot and 15-foot sliding door systems. The outdoor decks were built with Kayu Batu wood, an inviting built-in BBQ area, and a fire pit, and there is ample space to accommodate a future pool. Each of the five bedrooms is thoughtfully arranged, with four on the upstairs floor and another conveniently located on the main level, combined with six and one-half impeccably appointed baths and a bonus room. The lower subterranean level reveals a custom glass-enclosed wine cellar and a surround sound theater area, while the fully equipped bar boasts a beer froster, ice maker, fridge, and popcorn maker. The property has modern conveniences, Lutron wireless lighting controls, and dual Sonos systems, enabling music and lighting controls. Encaustic cement tiles and 100% wool carpet imported from Holland add unique character to various spaces throughout the home. This perfect home offers you the opportunity to live within one of Newport's most coveted neighborhoods, Dover Shores, where you can enjoy excellent schools, proximity to award-winning restaurants, upscale shopping, pristine beaches, major freeways, the airport, and scenic walking and riding trails tracing the beautiful Back Bay.

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePretty typical school. Some teachers are better, nicer, more challenging, more reasonable, etc. than others. Communication could improve for certain programs such as sports. I had to call the school office to inquire when tryouts were for a sport because there was zero notice from the school. Biggest complaint personally is my child didn’t get their selected elective (Art, a semester class) in 7th grade and now can’t take Art 2 (a year long class) on 8th grade. I’d emailed the school counselor a couple times but never received a response. We’re very disappointed.Parent Review2y ago - Mariners Elementary School

"Too many entitled dog owners with off-leash dogs. My dog has been attacked twice each by two neighbors' dogs, and honestly don't care at all. Got angry at me for reporting to animal control and blamed my dog despite the fact that we were just walking on the sidewalk."

"Not a lot of young families in this neighborhood but there are some. There are a few small but well equipped parks. Yards are small at most houses so, in most cases, there is not a lot of space for kids to play unless they go to a park. "
