I just left this school and could not be any happier. It was absolutely disgusting and horrible. They pride themselves on being a "Safe inclusive environment where students and staff feel seen, heard, understood, and challenged...", but I felt none of those. I was physically harassed, filed a student report, and NEVER heard back. A PE coach screamed at an autistic, special needs person for asking a simple question, and overall the special needs treatment is garbage. I have been called slurs, been threatened with sexual violence by other students, and the staff is so unreliable I didn't even feel it was a good management of time to go tell a counselor. Only staff that felt safe were the Science Olympiad coaches, and the Art Teacher.. Not safe for queer children, do not bring your children here if they are queer. Because of their faulty support, staff has deadnamed me on the phone every time I leave, and now all my bullies know my deadname and use it for leverage. Most of the counselors and staff are supportive, but some aren't, and it doesn't matter if the office is gonna out you anytime they need you through the phone anyways. They do not care about you, they care about how they look in the rankings. And if they don't need to try and care about students to look good, they aren't gonna, and they DON'T. I laid in my bed in the morning many times crying and faking sick because I just... Didn't wanna go. It's that bad. I would wake up and dread going to that school every single day. The only reason I didn't cry and beg my mom to pull me out asap was because of Science Olympiad, which is, mind you, a mainly out of school elective anyways. I had a total of like, 5 friends, and that was because of Science Olympiad, as well. I would never wish this school on even my worst enemies, though most of my worst enemies were at this school anyways. Going back to bullying, I have been deadnamed on purpose, been asked "for my number" by popular guys who are 1. Too rude to be dateable, and 2. Clearly uninterested and bullying me, physically harassed, and been jokingly threatened with SEXUAL VIOLENCE. This school is not safe for your child, male or female, people will be making those jokes to your child. Disgusting, hateful, un-inclusive, and vile. Kids were caught vaping, and there's no good electives. I cannot express enough that this school will wreck a child's mental health, like it did to mine. Be smart, parents. Choose any other school in the whole district. I BEG you!!

No child should be expected to go to a school where it's only rated a one and just twenty seven percent of youth Graduate , this is really said Something is severely wrong care.When it needs to be whipped into where is the mayor? Board of education ?

Northwest is a great school that prides itself on excellence. There is so many areas to get involved in. When I graduated back in 2009, I was in Theatre, Band, Baseball, SADD, and many other organizations. I will forever be thankful for this school. Because the teachers, adminstration, students, even the lunch ladies made you feel welcome. Proud Grizzly Alumni!

I really loved the school, I wish they would contuine to be heavily involved like they are when the kids start off in kindergarten. You would contuinsly get email and paper for resources for the kid during kindergarten etc. When heading to 1st grade it was a complete 180, and also not being informed that my son was harmed by another on the bus.
