"Tons of dogs escape their backyards and drivers are not necessarily residents, be sure to contain your dogs with a fence or e-fence and make sure you always have a leash handy in case your neighbors dog shows up unannounced. Dog owners will like that there is tons of space to walk, but dog owners may not like how many other neighbors dogs get loose."
  • Alicia Crowe
"Walking distance from downtown Perry, food truck Friday and other community events. Friendly neighbors and safe community"
  • Kenji W.
"Thought here are many visitors, Perry is a small and knit town, everyone here is very friendly and the school teams are the best at showing great sportsmanship and pride. "
  • Vicki S.
"I have lived in my neighborhood for a little over two years. There are lots of families here and everyone looks out for one another and says hello when you pass by. It’s a sweet little area made up of a good mix of races. Housing is affordable and a good place to start a family. We are only minutes from downtown and the grocery stores. "
  • Katsto97
"I just moved here, so far it’s been great!! We live in a very quiet neighborhood. I feel very comfortable with our neighbors. And this community "
  • Anna B.
"We have a community trick or treat festival and a Halloween costume contest. The cake walk is always a hit. "
  • Anna B.
"Restaurants are easy to get to. Also there’s a nail salon close by. On special events, there are special gatherings. The National Fair is always a huge treat!"
  • Samsaid75
"Perry is a good place to raise a family. Good community and good schools. Not too big and not too small. "
  • Stacey B.
"it's a quite neighborhood. nice people and close by shopping and restaurants. good schools close by also."
  • Dawnna M.
"Keeping dogs fenced or on leashes is important to the neighbors and law enforcement which is a nice change of pace compared to where I live."
  • Ambermathews513
"It's near a woody area with tiny critters all about, so get that flea & tick preventative medicine, leash up, and enjoy!"
  • Taylor H.
"Not too many people in my neighborhood own dogs. I rarely see people outside walking their dogs. Maybe there's a park where most people go. "
  • Kim A.
"The area I live in is beautiful, well kept with friendly neighbors. The sidewalks are used all the time by families in the evening and on the weekends. "
  • KristinaS
"Great schools and a safe community. With the AirForce base, most of the neighbors are professionals that work there. "
  • Tjohnson0817
"Great for couples with children because there are lots in the neighborhood for them to play. And lots of dog owners are regularly walking their dogs. Very friendly neighborhood "
  • Melodie r.
"I am next to a recreational center, I can walk, jog and bike with my kids. and yet I am close to shops and city activities."
  • Tjohnson0817
"I’ve lived in this neighborhood a little more than 5 years and it’s a wonderful place to be. Lots of children that go to the playgrounds to play. "
  • Artiashorter
"My neighborhood is unique because it offers a mixed diversity. The people are helpful and the community leaders do a great creating community events for all to attend free of charge, however, Perry has a ridiculous water bill fee that they should reconsider as the taxes are much higher here and the water bill is $120 a month. The bill is this high due to basic fees for the new fire department and other fees they have tacked on. The actually water I used and was charged for was $19. So I was charged an additional $101 in fees. While I love my home and neighborhood, I do plan to move to Warner Robins or another city within the county in the next 5 years. "
  • Sharla B. K.
"Mostly middle aged and older couples. Not many kids if any. Right by the high school so some traffic at certain times. "
  • kbcollins
"I've lived in Perry since 1995. It's a great place to raise a family. The schools are top-notch. It's a small town that still has the small town appeal. It's close enough to larger towns, i.e. Warner Robins and Macon, to enjoy the amenities they have to offer, including job opportunities."
  • sewerrat1
"We live next door to this house. The area is quiet, with very little traffic, but it is a long way from schools for anyone with children. Although it is in the City of Perry and we pay City taxes, we get very little in the way of services from the City."
